The next morning, they were awoken by the crying of their infant daughter over the baby monitor by their bed. "I'll get her." Cosima said as she grabbed her glasses off of the bedside table. Delphine looked at the time "7:54 as always", she thought. Soon Cosima was carrying Eddie in her arms and set the little girl on the bed by Delphine's legs. "Attack!" Cosima cried out as Eddie crawled her way up to Delphine's chest. Delphine kissed the little girl's forehead and hugged her close. "Bonjour, mon petit lapin." She told the girl. Cosima always loved it when Delphine spoke in French, the way it rolled off of her tongue so naturally, the way it flowed. It was even sweeter when Eddie repeated, or at least attempted to repeat, the words her mother said. "We should probably get ready; the family is coming over for the gender reveal today." Cosima said, picking Eddie up so Delphine could get out of bed. Delphine got up and kissed the both of them, "Breakfast first. I know this one tends to get cranky when she's hungry." She tickled Eddie's tiny foot causing the little girl to giggle sweetly. She kissed her wife and made her way down to the kitchen to begin on breakfast. To her surprise, Allison was already in the kitchen, looking frantically for something. "She's always got to plan things you know." Cosima joked to Delphine. "AUNT ALI!" Eddie practically screamed at Allison. Ali turned around and took Eddie from Cosima's arms. "I think I'll start making breakfast now." Delphine said getting food and pans out of the pantry, finally feeling safe for once.
