She was a happy girl
Fair and content with life
Then the storm came
Endless floods filling up her heart
She could not take this much longer
Soon the power went out, the storm noticed and went on forgetting the girl
But the girl could never forget
How could she forget when she is surrounded by the darkness the storm caused
She found candles and matches but they were only a temporary fix
Nothing could bring back her light
Then morning came
The sun spilled in through every window filled every room
There was no place to hide
Everything clad in sunlight
The sun made a promise to this girl
He would light up her days and make the moon and stars shine for her at night.
