My mind's Dream

I hear you smile when I awake,
I hear the children run around,
I hear the pets meowing and barking,
And yet I do not hear anything.

I hear you gaze at me when I cook,
I hear the running of small feet,
I hear the morning bird sing,
And yet I do not hear anything.

I hear you kiss my cheek,
I hear the rumble of bellies,
I hear the biting of shoes,
And yet I do not hear anything.

And then I wake up and listen for everything even though I know I will not hear Anything, for I have made it all up in my mind.
