First Love. {Monkey D. Luffy x Reader}

You had liked this happy-go-lucky boy for some time now and you've finally managed to claim him as yours. However upon being his first girlfriend, Luffy has absolutely no idea how relationships work.

So, like all young boys, he asked older men with more experience for pointers. And of course, his older influences were his big brothers; Thatch, Marco, Ace and Sabo.

Thatch and Marco were the ones who told him to indicate that he liked you in the first place, Thatch told him to share his beloved food with you and shockingly, the raven did just that. It was a shock but you didn't realize it was a crush at first.

You only started to realize his feelings when he took Marco's advice, the pineapple had told him to always defend you. This naturally led to Luffy punching Eustass Kid straight in the face for merely tripping you up in public, the poor redhead didn't even mean to and was about to apologize before getting blasted with a fist.

But alas, it had leaded to Luffy telling you that he had a crush on you and that triggered the relationship so you're quite grateful for the incident, really. You suddenly freeze in your tracks due to Luffy stopping first. You curiously raise a brow at the boy as he grins brightly, his eyes shadowed by his hair. 

Oh God, what is he doing now?

Next thing you know the boy is posed like Will Smith, extending his arms out to you with a huge smile spreading across his adorable face as he yells at passerby's. "THIS IS MY GIRLFRIEND, GUYS SHISHISHI~! ISN'T SHE CUTE~?!"

Your face immediately heating up to the temperature of the sun when people look at the pair of you, a few of them chuckling or smiling, a few murmuring  "aww" and others asking their lovers why they don't get this treatment. 

Luffy...why...?

The sweet male then turns to you with a playful chuckle leaving his lips, nervously scratching the back of his head. "I hope I did it right...Ace said to show you off~!" Of course he did.

Ace is the show-off in the family after all, it doesn't surprise you in the slightest that this was his idea but you're not complaining about it, Luffy's gesture was adorable but you're honestly hoping for something else from him.

"So, that leaves Sabo's advice, right?" You inquire softly, Luffy's eyes slowly losing their spark as he nods his head, his smile fading away gradually. "What did he tell you to do~?" You admittedly just want to be ready for it, you liked how unpredictable Luffy was but this wasn't the same, you wanted something different.

"He said...to be myself..." Luffy finally mutters and despite his disdainful look, the answer actually brings a smile to your lips. Sabo's right there, you wanted Luffy to be himself, that's what you've been longing for all day.

Thatch is charming, sure, but not your type. Marco's protective and strong but he doesn't catch your eye. Ace is cute and confident, of course, but he's not the brother you fell for.

Of course, Sabo knows this from the get go and knows what to tell the boy and for that, you're silently grateful. "I like that advice most, I like you Luffy, so be you~" Much to your surprise, the boy doesn't perk up at all, his face goes slightly pink as he lowers his head in attempts to hide his expression some more.

"What if myself isn't good enough for you?"

Your heart clutches at the boy's words, you're honestly not used to seeing Luffy so insecure. The raven is usually happy-go-lucky and comes off as confident, even arrogant to some, this is truly him though and you're willing to love his flaws as well as his perfections.

"If I didn't like you for who you were, I wouldn't be dating you to begin with~" Your voice sounds more of a chirp as a supportive smile etches itself into your features, your body acting on impulse as you step closer to the cutie, wrapping your arms around his torso and giving him a loose, gentle hug.

You begin to think he isn't going to hug you back when his body stiffens as he stares down at you with an eyebrow quirked. However, his arms slowly return the affections as a cheerful grin embeds itself into his adorable face.

"Yeah...shishishi~! You're right~!" Your lover chimes, lightening up now and his arms tightening around your frame as a goofy chortle leaves his lips. "I love you~!" Those words stun you a little, you've only been dating for a few days and many would say that it's far too soon for such claims but that's Luffy for you, he's ruthlessly honest.

"I love you too, Luff--!" Your words cut off by a pair of soft lips on yours, Luffy's hands coming up to your cheeks. The kiss is amazing though, so gentle but managing to make your lips tingle also.

You slowly begin to melt into the lip-lock, your head tilting to the side slowly as you deepen the kiss, your arms draping around Luffy's neck. But a sudden wolf whistle throws you off, a familiar laugh reaching your ears.

Luffy slowly pulling away with an annoyed pout on his face, his brown eyes drifting over to another raven-haired boy. Of course, Ace just had to be in town today. And stood beside him is Sabo, thankfully the blonde doesn't seem too inclined to embarrass you though.

"C'mon Ace, leave them be~!" Sabo playfully rumbles, being completely blanked. Ace is still too busy chuckling as he stares on proudly and you can just about hear Luffy muttering every cuss word under his breath.

"My little brother is all grown up now~!" Ace teases with a dark snicker in his tone, his knuckles only half-hiding his enormous smirk. "When will you invite her over for dinner, huh Luff~?" 

You just know he said 'Luff' to mock you because you couldn't finish the name before he kissed you, Ace has the trolling big brother imagery down to a tee. Sabo thankfully showing you some mercy and grabbing his brother's arm, beginning to tug the taunting Ace along. "Come on, you jerk! We were meant to be meeting Koala 10 minutes ago!"

God bless you, Sabo...

"Shishishi~! BYE GUYS~!" Luffy blurts, suddenly changing his whole demeanor, his childish smile gracing his lips once again and his hand waving toward the two lazily as the other stays resting on your hip. 

Sabo briskly returning the wave and Ace sounding as if he's still cracking jokes but thankfully, you can't hear him over Luffy's boyish laughter. Your attention drifting back to your boyfriend as he glances down at you, the adorable smile still gracing his lush lips.

"So, [F/n]? Do you want dinner at mine tonight~?!" 

...You're kidding me, right..?
