Killer Halloween

Wait, what?

"He was right here. This is where I lost him!" I say as I put one hand on my head.

"He's gone!" I say as I crouch down, resting my elbows on my knees and covering my eyes in my palms.

When...

"Ashley! Get up!"

I quickly turn around. The voice was familiar. I knew the speaker. I stare at the two officers who were not affected by the voice. That's when...

...I open my eyes...

I way lying in a dark room, the same voice calling my name. I squint my eyes to try and regain my vision and blink rapidly. That's when I see him...

"Ashton?" I say surprised. Wait what? He is alive?!

"Ah you are finally awake sleeping beauty." He says as he laughs

I could not believe my eyes. He was alive! Yes. He was sitting cross legged with my head on his lap. I quickly turn around to face him and wrap my arms around his neck and pull him into a tight hug as I keep on saying, " you are alive" repeatedly. After being tense for a while he also gave in and hugged me back. After being there for who knows how long he questions back,

"But why wouldn't I be alive, huh Ash? You trying to kill me? He says with a grin on his face as I playfully slap his arm...

...And then I break down.

"Hey why are you crying? Hey, look at me. Let's go home OK? It's quite late and... You are drunk, now your mom will kill me" he says as he stands up and extends his hand to me as I grab it and he pulls me up. Loud music could be heard from outside as he says to me,

You fell asleep under the stars so I thought not to wake you up as you looked quite peaceful but after a while it felt like you were having a bad dream so I decided to wake you up.

I felt relieved. Everyone was safe and Brandon wasn't a psychopath killer.

It was all just a dream.

As I walked outside with Ashton, I see everyone enjoying the party and seeing everyone, even Mona, safe and sound, felt nice. I felt happy.

"Where were you guys?" Says Jenna as she jumps in front of us with furrowed eyebrows.

"We wanted to go to a place a little bit more quite, little more peaceful." Ashton says as I smile at him.

"Oh! That's absolutely fine. But I just hoped you'll could stay for longer. But it's OK. So hope you enjoyed this years Halloween party!" She says as she claps her hand and winks at us childishly.

"Of course we did. It was amazing! Thank you so much for calling us Jenna" I say as I hug her as she hugs me back.

"Don't mention it guys, my pleasure. Hope you have an amazing Night. Good bye." She says as we wave at her and Ashton goes to Brandon to tell him he was leaving. Brandon waves at both of us as we do too in exchange and we walk to his car hand in hand, for which Mona kept giving me death stares but I didn't mind.

During the whole car ride home we were silent as I thought of the dream and laugh at myself. Stupid me. How could I even even imagine people dying, that also by a friend, maybe even a best friend. Huh.

Seriously Ashley. My inner voice spoke as I look down to my feet and silently laugh even though Ashton kept looking my way and smiled to himself shaking his head as I also laughed at him but overall I was thankful to God that this was all just a Nightmare.

But If I fell asleep with Ashton in the room with glass ceilings, everything before that was real. So I still have one question...

Whom did I kiss in the closet?
