»Winter Wonder (Reboot)« PT.3
Asuna continually dragged Kazuto by the sleeve. As the got closer and closer to the store, Kazuto started to notice a noise... A very strange one at that. Judging by Asuna's determined face, she didn't seem to hear it. What could it be?
-
"Kirito-kun! Stop spacing outmoded, we have to hurry!" Reminded Asuna with haste. What ever this was, she really didn't want to miss it.
-
"Yeah, yeah I got it." Replied Kazuto, who came to an abrupt stop. Asuna was forced to stop as well, and averted her gaze onto Kazuto. Her eyes alone were screaming: "Why!?". Causing more confusion, the boy in black started to kneel. "Get on.". Asuna looked back with a blank expression. "I figured it might be hard for you to run, seeing as your recovery from SAO is still in the process... So why not hop on for old time's sake."
-
As she slowly mounted onto Kazuto's back, he could feel her warmth spread across it. She was surprisingly warm in this weather. As Kazuto stood up, he could feel the happiness building up inside Asuna. All this must have reminded her of good memories. Or, mostly good anyways.
-
The two had finally arrived at the crowded shop. As Asuna dismounted her trusty steed Kazuto, the two got a closer look at what the fuss was about. When Asuna realized what she was looking at, her heart skipped a beat. Still curious, Kazuto looked as well. His eyes widened.
-
What laid before them, was like nothing they've ever seen. The crowd among them were waving and chanting, like some kind of cult. "Let us in, let us in!" In unison, they were all scrambling to push themselves into the door. "We want our Nerve Gear! We want SAO!"
-
Oh oh. The astonished boy knew that name all too well. What were they talking about? Wasn't Nerve gear banned, due to its strong way of projecting images into your brain? Wasn't SAO shut down for being the death game that it was? Every fact that Kazuto thought he knew, was denied by the very existence ahead. All the couple could do was stare in awe, and disbelief. Was they saw before them, was nothing less of Nerve Gear, and disc that looked identical to that of SAO.
