♞ Alice Phantomhive POV ♞
I hate walking in woods...crows cawing in a far distance, spiders popping out everywhere, and lastly...
"Snakes!" I run away from one and hid behind John.
He snickers. "Scaredy cat!"
"I can't believe you want to act all 'Sherlock' and find this mysterious tomb!" I come back at him.
We continue to walk through the tall grasses. Seriously, does anyone take care of this place?!
"ROAR!" A loud noise ringed out.
I grab onto my brother's arm. We both slowly moved towards the sound. I don't know why we didn't move away, it sounded like something was lonely.
A beautiful green garden house stood in a middle of a clearing. A sign hangs loosely above the entrance. 'House of the Cat Family'
On the door handle was chains that hugged the door frame. A lock in the middle of all the messy chains, mysteriously had a key in it. "Who would ever thought?" John reached towards the key.
I slap his hand. "Don't even think about it! We don't know what lies in this house!"
"Then we'll look through one of the broken glass to see what's inside!"
We looked around the house and only one small broken glass was found. It was near a ladder that hanged on the side of the house. John peeked inside and gasped. "There's a lion!"
Lions? Geez Grandma Lizzy does know how to pick her pets. "Let me see!"
I push John a little to move away. All of a sudden, I hear chains falling onto the ground. John looks over at the door and gulps. "Sis, we got trouble."
The door creeks open and a lion walks out. It's mane swishes with her wind as it looks around. Crap! It's going to spot us!
It turns towards us and we stand perfectly still. Then it ignores us and leads other types of cat family animals. From tigers, cheetahs, pumas, panthers, and more lions.
They all walk into the Forrest that John and I had walked out of. We follow them slowly, until they all sat down in front of a tomb cottage. Roses groaned around it meaning it was very old.
It was a pearl white marble house shaped, the roof was gold, the double doors and rose knocker were also gold. Next to the house was two stone tigers laying down and staring back at who ever might enter.
The fences that surrounded the house were blacked, spiked like roses, along with roses on some parts of it. The gate had two cats at the ends on top of a gate door.
The big lion roared first and the others started roaring in the air at the same time.
"My, my, I came a little too late."
We jumped at the voice. It was silky smooth and I desperately wanted to see who it belonged to!
A man around his mid 20's, with raven black hair that shaped the sides of his face, and wearing a butler suit walks up to the lion in front. His eyes somehow glowed a little pink. "I thank you for watching Alice for me."
John looks at me and I shrugged. I didn't think that animals could take care of me.
John looks up and gasps. He points at the double doors. Lo and behold, there on top of the double doors was a plate that said, 'Alice Faloria'. That's weird...where is the date that she was born and died?
The man opens the black gates with a red antique key. The gate opens and the big cats moved away for him. He walks in and then opens the double doors with another key. In his hands were a bouquet of roses.
After he entered the tomb house. the big cats walked back the same path they took. John and I walk over to the black fences, I check on my area and John checked his. All clear! We entered the tomb and strangely the man wasn't there...
From the entrance of the double doors, all the way to the back wall, hanged a portrait of the same man I saw. He stood next to a kid that looked exactly like Ciel Phantomhive! The one Grandma Lizzy showed John and I back at the house.
Ciel was sitting in his chair and on the other side, not the same side as the man, stood a girl 2 feet shorter than the man we saw. Her red short hair was a cool velvet color. Her blue ocean eyes also caught my eye.
A marble coffin was laid down in the middle of room. The bouquet of roses laid on top. John takes it and gently lays it down on one of the cobwebbed shelves. He motions me to help him with the coffin. Why does he want to see what's inside?! It's just going to be a skeleton!
We try to lift the cover. but it wouldn't budge, not even a little!
"Do you need assistance Lady and Lord Phantomhive?"
I screamed and hid behind John. After a couple seconds, I peeked over John's shoulder to see the same man from earlier and he was also in the portrait!
"How do you know us?" I asked.
"Only the Phnatomhives are aloud to be in here." The man then lifts the cover by himself and sets it on the ground. The dust covered another cover, but I could tell it was glass. "I assume Lady Elizabeth has told you the family secrete?"
"A little." John answers.
"Oh? Then shall I reveal a mystery to you young ones?" The man asked.
"What's your name first..." I didn't trust this man.
"Sebastian Michaelis, Phantomhive's one true butler." He put his right hand on his left chest and bows a little. He straightens his jacket and wipes off the dusty glass cover. I gasped at the sight of a woman with red hair and wearing a white gown. I mean, she doesn't look like a skeleton!
"How is that possible?" John gasped leaning towards the face of the woman.
"She has been resting here far too long." Sebastian caressed the glass cover, around the area where the woman's face is. "But now she can wake up and see this world."
"Is she in a coma? And if so, how?" I asked. John nodded his head eagerly to know the answer.
Sebastian slightly smirks. "The curse will be uplifted, since there is finally a girl Phantomhive."
