Mika's pov

It's been two days since I found dumpster boy and I've been cramming what food I could spare down his throat along with water and pain killers but I can't keep this up for long because I have to relocate soon. The food in this town is running low so I must move on in a few days and if he doesn't wake up by then, I don't know what to do.
When I walked in around midnight, dumpster boy was tossing in turning in his bed, yelling out profanities and screaming. Rushing to his side and holding down his arms,I tried to get him to calm down when he just suddenly stopped moving and his eyes snapped open.
Electric blue like the sea during a lightning storm is what bore into my soul. After an intense stare down he glanced down and furrowed his eyebrows.

"What are you doing?"dumpster boy questioned

I glanced down and took in our position...I was straddling his waist and holding his hands above his head. Quickly rolling off and staring at him I blushed and shook my head. Groaning he sat up in my bed and took in his appearance in my mirror before glancing around the room there wasn't much to take in just a broken dresser, a small bed, a cracked mirror, and me.
His eyes settled on me and took in my appearance dusty convers, shorts, a worn tee-shirt and unruly red curly hair stuck through a baseball cap. You couldn't see what team it was due to the fact it was so worn out and a black black jacket I never went anywhere without. He didn't look much better though. Without a shirt one you could see the raised welts of the stitches and the dirt and ash still staining his skin. All he was wearing was some faded black jeans and black combat boots still stained with blood from the battle.
Suddenly his eyes darkened and narrowed glaring are as he realised that I'm a stranger and he doesn't know we're he is.

"Who the hell are you and how did I get here" dumpster boy growled

I cocked my head at him and walked out the door, refusing to talk to him if he was being rude. My contact with other beings is limited and I refuse to waste my time on an arrogant Ahole after I saved his life.
Dumpster boy pulled himself out of my bed and continued calling out to me.
"Wait you have to tell me something, you can't just walk out like that" he rushed out as he struggled to follow me.   "At least tell me your name." Dumpster boy deadpanned when he caught up to me.

"Mika." I whispered

"Okay...Mika...tell me how I got here and how do I get back to the palace."he demanded

I rolled my eyes and continued walking until I reached a ladder and began to climb upwards towards the rooftop.

"Hey wait, I wasn't done talking to you." He yelled and scrambled up after me.

We climbed five stories all the way to the rooftop. The same rooftop I flew off of the night I found him. When he finally caught up to me I pointed off in the distance and watched him squint to see what I was pointing at.
When the realization of what I was pointing at dawned on him he looked crestfallen.

"How could the palace be so far away..." Dumpster boy seemed almost angry and I took that as my cue to leave so I left him staring at the palace and made my way home.
I was half way down the ladder when dumpster boy yelled down at me.
"Wait since I can't fly you have to take me to the palace...I'll reward you nicely. I'll even give you a proper home to live in!!"

I laughed. I laughed so hard I almost fell off the ladder. Who does he think he is... the moment I even step close to the palace the prince and his guards will have my head. But he doesn't need to know that.

"I need to get home and your the only one who can take me... I'll give whatever you want." He bargained

That caught my attention. Whatever I want huh. I smiled as I thought about it. Maybe I could get that target taken off my back or a house far away from everyone where I could live alone and fly whenever I wanted to.
By this time we were both at the bottom of the ladder and he was looking at me with anticipation. I made up my mind and gave him my answer...
