New beginnings (minato namikaze)

Ch4 Practices

Rin's POV:
The whole way to Minato's, I was trying my best to not make eye contact or say something wrong as I was just cradling Naruto and making him giggle with goofy faces. He kept giggling until I heard a grumble from his stomachs causing him to look at me.

"Don't worry we're almost home Naruto and I'll make you some milk" Minato said smiling at Naruto....does he even know the correct way to give milk to a baby??? After a while we reached his house and got in. Minato made warm milk for Naruto and sat down trying to give it to him until Naruto began to move his head refusing to eat. I stared in amusement as Minato looked at Naruto saying "please don't make this difficult Naruto"

all Naruto kept doing was moving his head. I decided to help

"A baby will eat if they are really hungry so simply put the baby bottle down and wait for him to start asking for it" I said, in hesitation Minato did as I said and waited until Naruto began to move around and cry a little indicating he wanted the milk. I gave Minato a nod and he gave Naruto his milk and became surprised as Naruto began to drink the milk. Minato looked at me and said "thank you so much"

I chuckled and said "I use to take care of kids a lot when I needed money. So I took a job as a babysitter, Most of them were babies so now I know everything about them."

Minato stared at me for a while until nodded as if agreeing to something in his mind. "I have decided to have you be with Naruto most of the time while I'm gone. But be warned my anbu are watching you everyday"

I was even more shocked on how opening he was with Naruto with me. But in a way, I understood, I haven't done a thing to Naruto so he now believes I'm the right person to trust Naruto with. I just hope nothing goes wrong. But my mission now is to protect Naruto.

After Naruto was finished eating... I told Minato to pick him up and place him on his shoulder. Stomach down, I then said "now pat his back. But not to hard just enough pressure to help him burp" Minato did as I said and then "*burp*"

I literally aw'ed at that as Naruto began to giggle and speak gibberish. Minato smiled and chuckled saying "that was a loud one huh Naruto" Minato was about to pick him up. Until I said "be careful his stomach is still full, so don't move him much or else he might throw up" Minato then sat there for a while waiting. After a while Naruto was just laughing at many noises and faces I made. I always loved hearing a baby's laugh, It makes me happy. I kept doing these until I saw him yawned. I looked outside and saw it was getting late.

I smiled at Naruto and said "looks like it's bed time neh Naru~" Naruto just smiled tiredly at me reaching up his hands indicating to carry him. I looked at Minato for permission as he nods, I picked Naruto up and held him close to me humming a song my mother use to sing to me as a child. Sooner or later I heard soft breathing and looked seeing Naruto was sleeping. I saw Minato looking at what has happened and just smiled standing up grabbing Naruto carefully and walking up the stairs. I sat there for a moment.... can I use chakra? I have no idea... but hopefully I may be able to learn it. I began to feel myself becoming more tired as I sat there. After everything today I'm really sleepy now. I yawned before closing my eyes and falling asleep.

I woke up in a bed.....wait...bed?? Sitting up, I looked around and saw that this was most likely Minato's room seeing a photo of him and Kushina and one of team 7..... I wished I was here more early to at least save Obito....but I know someone will save him. I looked at the time it said 5:00 in the morning... I woke up early. I then heard cries, most likely Naruto's. I got up and walked well limped to his room seeing him move around his crib. I walked up seeing his face all scrunched up with tears falling.
"Mah Naruto what happened? Did you have a nightmare?" I said smiling and picking him up as he sniffed and whimpered. I held him in my arms humming the same tune sitting down as he calmed down, looking up at me. He then giggled. Naruto sure loves attention, I smiled and rocked back and forth in the chair a smile on my face and of course Naruto began to let his eyes fall and soon he was in a deep sleep. I kept rocking back and forth as I kept staring at Naruto. You are hero to many already....

I got up limping to his crib and placing him down carefully as his soft snores were heard. I put the blanket on him and leaned down kissing his cheek. I then left the bedroom and turned to go back to bed until I bumped into a wall....wait this is more fleshy and soft. I looked up seeing Minato looking down at me and then looking towards Naruto's room sighing in relief saying "thank you"

i nodded saying "you need more sleep take your bed back I'll sleep on the couch and No I will not sleep on your bed you will have it you need it" I then went downstairs carefully step by step. I went to the couch limping to the couch laying down getting comfortable. Right when I was about to sleep I felt something being placed on me, I opened one eye seeing Minato walk away towards him room. I smiled as I went to sleep.

When I woke up I heard giggles coming from Naruto. I opened my eyes to a very cute sight. Minato was making weird funny faces to Naruto and Naruto was laughing while clapping his hands. Then Minato grabbed him and tickled him by blowing into his stomach making a fart sound. Naruto just laughed more. Ah now this is what Minato needs.

Naruto then turned towards me trying to crawl. I giggled and picked him up saying

"you're almost ready to crawl neh! You're being a big boy now"

that only caused him to squeal and move himself around. I laughed and carried him kissing his head as he kept speaking gibberish. It only cause me to laugh more. Minato simply smiled sadly and said

"I'll be leaving soon for work"

he then left upstairs to get ready. I frowned as I realized I made him think of his wife. Naruto noticed my sad faced and made very weird faces. I chuckled, he may be baby but he does know what to do.....
After feeding Naruto and changing him I held him as he slept in my arms. I got up walking to his room carefully as I could since my injuries weren't healed. I placed him in his crib as he slept with a little drool dropping to the side of his face, I giggle quietly and left the room closing the door. I was about to go change but I saw someone sitting on one of the steps of the stairs at the bottom. I went towards whomever it was in caution. Then I noticed that this person had their head in their hands as if in grief. I then realized who it was.

Minato

I debated on whether to go towards him or not...

I went towards him and called out his name "Minato? You ok?" My voice was quiet. He turned towards me...his eyes were a bit glazed and faded indicating he wasn't conscious of what he was doing.

"Minat-" before I knew it I was grabbed and thrown against Minato's chest....
