Coffee
"Good morning Miss Tiamzon. Coffee po." Loraine, my secretary said as she placed the coffee on my table. I have come to appreciate the four corners of my big office. It has a big glass window that shows the city. In front of my table is the coffee table with the black leather couch, it looked nice with the fur carpet below it.
"What's my schedule for today?" Tanong ko sa aking sekretarya habang hinuhubad ang suot kong coat. I am now wearing a stripe tube top matched with black flared pants. I saw my reflection from the mirror at my side. Medyo exposed ang bewang ko. I smiled at my own thoughts. Hindi ako ganito dati. An oversized shirt and jeans will do. I guess broken hearts really change people.
"You have a board meeting at 10 AM for Phil Air, another one at 2 PM in del Ruevas Shipping Lines, and a warehouse visit at 4 PM." I stopped looking for some papers when I heard my schedule for today. I sat on my swivel chair, tinalikuran ko si Loraine at tiningnan ang mga matatayog na building sa harap ko. I looked at the sky and I saw an airplane passed by.
"Cancel the 2 PM appointment at the del Ruevas." I said as I stayed in that position, nakatingin sa kawalan.
"Uhm ma'am, this is the fifth time that you won't be attending the meeting." She reminded me. Napapikit ako at hinilot ang sentido. I can't run away from him forever. Hindi ko rin naman pwedeng pabayaan ang shares ng fiance ko doon dahil lang nandoon siya. I need to be professional. Inikot ko ang swivel chair ko at hinarap siya.
"Fine, I'll meet them." Him. I'll meet my fucking ex.
