Kenya Secret Service Headquarters. 2030hrs.
M was busy checking a few emails in her office on the 48th floor. It was just another busy day for her as she had to supervise the monitoring of Irvin's movements while on mission. He had just come back, but M was far too paranoid to trust him on his own.
Just as she was winding up, she was interrupted by a pop-up message directing her to a strange link in the description. She was curious to find out what exactly was behind that link as she could easily downplay it for other amateur hackers.
But this was not one of them.
She opened the link to find herself being directed to a video in full screen. The quality of it was crystal clear HD, but that did not say the same for the blurry background masking the unidentified, probably Black Forces general behind it.
"People of Nairobi." The figure began. "We come in peace, you need not to fear us for we mean you no harm. Yet. In a few days you should tell your authorities that they will feel our wrath. We will do so by taking control of your streets from end to end. You need not to worry for you will be placed as hostages, however any of you try to defy our orders and you shall be killed. You need not to take it personally, it's just business. And to the authorities, especially the KSS. If you send your men and your best agents in a rescue mission against the citizens, we will execute them all. If the KSS sends its best agent after us, we will attack his school, campus, home ground, wherever place he holds dear. Surrender or face the consequences. Black Forces out!"
M was left horrified by the threat from the Black Forces. Obviously she had an idea it was Abdul, but she had not imagined they would be serious about their plan formed 10 years ago. She rang Boniface.
"Otieno, I want security on high alert! On every corner of Nairobi city. The Black Forces have issued their threat of assault. I want all agents within the city eagle-eyed looking for any terrorist suspect. Do it now!" barked lowly an agitated M who then cut the phone call.
Macau. 2320hrs.
Irvin meanwhile was freshening up and getting ready to grace the high stakes poker game at the traditional casino, just a boat ride away.
As he was doing so, he heard a knock on his door.
He brandished his gun, believing it would be an assassin posing as a room attendant. He crept closer to the door, weapon ready to fire.
The knock came again. "Room service." said a familiar female voice.
Irvin opened the door to a gorgeously dressed Katie.
"Weird." Irvin commented. "I didn't order anything. Not even you."
"I've got some new intel." Katie answered before being let through the door.
Irvin was beginning to admire Katie from a discreet distance. He knew he was taken, but losing Tori took away some of his seductive abilities for a while, and he was known not to stick with one girl for very long.
"Aren't you a bit too much of a field agent to be delivering information?" Irvin asked with sarcasm.
"That's a bit of picking something new, and Q is apparently afraid of flying."
"Of course he is." said Irvin with assured confidence.
Katie settled to explain to Irvin the news of the Black Forces issuing a first threat to everyone across Nairobi of their plan to attack the city. Also what they would do to the hostages should the authorities ever conduct a rescue mission and they would attack Irvin at his location, should he intervene.
