His hair was ruffled, the color was a dirty blonde. His skin was fair, he was tall too. His eyes!! They were a shimmery pool of blue that sparkled in the moonlight. Nate. At that moment, I felt happy, and upset. I gasped.
"Nate!" I took him into an embrace, he hugged me back.
"I thought you would be a little more upset but happy is better." He said. He sounded warm, like home.
"I am, I missed you though." I sounded sappy, but he's my best friend, how could I not be happy to see him. 1 year after my parents had died, Nate didn't talk to me anymore. i lost complete contact.
"I have my reasons that i left an i can explain them to you now." He said with a serious voice.
"Argh! Can we talk about serious stuff later because I'm tired and i don't really want to go back to... where i live. Can we go to your place?" I'm completely comfortable asking him anything, best friends, siblings remember?
"Umm i really don't really have a place but we can stay in a hotel?"
"Sure, but I'd have to leave early to get to the place where i currently stay." I said a little louder than i thoughts would say it.
"Haha, and what place would that be?" He asked. Im glad he was being playful.
"Well i'm staying with a guy who thinks he's my boyfriend." I replied hesitantly.
"Is he?" his smile was so white and shiny, absolutely gorgeous.
"NO!" I replied to quickly. We both stopped, looked at each other, and laughed. I had never felt this way around Nate. It used to be so easy to talk to him now i cant even talk to him without being shy. To my best friend? Do i want best friend? Friend. Best friend.
When we arrived at the hotel, we got a room quick and easy, Nate paid. We went up to room 3C. When we walked in there was only one bed.
"Ummm." I looked at him.
"I can sleep on the floor." He said. I didn't want him to really sleep on the floor. My teeth were already brushed and i was already wearing a tank top under my sweatshirt and sweat pants. Nate was in the shower. So i just Waite on my bed staring into space. Can you really stare into space though? If there is a roof over your head, are you really staring into space? I jumped when Nate walked into the room, shirtless with only a white towel around his waist.
"Sorry, i didn't mean to alarm you. i just need my cloths really quick haha."
"Its fine." I forced a smile on my face.
"Be right back." He is so hot. His skin was so perfectly tan and he was so muscular. Moments later he returned. there were two blankets and a pillow where he would sleep. We both laid down, i turned off the lights.
"Goodnight!" he said to me.
"Sweet dreams." i replied, my voice already fading away.
"You too."
My dream wasn't so sweet.
I was in a dark ally. I looked to my left, then to my right. No one was around. I started walking out into the street. There were footsteps behind me, i turned around, no one. I started again footsteps again, step, step, step. I started into a full on sprint, i couldn't feel the pain surging through my legs. This was a dre- nightmare. I slowed my running but i bumped into something. Bryce's head on a silver platter with a puddle of blood surrounding it. I turned around and saw a headless person. Headless people, all behind me. I woke up screaming.
"Alex!" nate was shaking my shoulders.
"Are you ok?" he asked. It was still dark out.
"Yea," i said scratching my head, "how long have i been out?"
