Harry
Sandra was so cute when she blushed. I wish she knew that. And as much as I could remember, I’d never seen her crushing on someone before.
“Jeez. Shut up, Harry. You’re being a dork again.” she protested.
I giggled after seeing the warm color rising on her cheeks. I pinched her cheeks and it made her more irritated.
I just loved teasing Sandra Byrne.
When she was about to punch me again, I caught her hand and inched my face closer to her, making her to blush harder. “You can’t fool me, Sandy.” I flashed a mischievous smile. “I know you as much as you know yourself.”
Sandra narrowed her eyes at me. “Shut up, Harry. You don’t know what you’re talking about!”
“Okay,” I giggled. “By the way, I’ll pick you up after your work. I have something for you.”
She looked up at me with her brown eyes filled with curiosity. I didn’t want to spoil my late birthday surprise for her. I just wanted her to wait and be surprised.
I leaned on her and put my lips closed to her ear to whisper, “It’s a surprise.” I winked at her before walking through the driveway for my car. Right after I started my car’s engine, I pulled down my window and waved at my speechless best friend who was still looking at my direction.
“Call you later!” I mouthed then drive off.
The moment I reached the city, I was stuck in the traffic. It seemed like I was in a big parking lot because of the pack of cars on the road.
There was an accident, I think, because not from afar, police and ambulance sirens started to roam around.
The beeping of cars that surrounded me made me realized that the drivers were already irritated for the commotion. It’d been 30 minutes and the road was still in a turtle-like move.
The ringing of my phone caught my attention. I turned off my radio volume before answering it. “Hello? Harry Styles speaking. Who’s this?”
“Hi, Harry. It’s me, Michelle.”
Hearing Michelle’s voice made my heart thump. “Michelle? W-where did you get my number?”
“I took it from your phone while you were sleeping.” There was a shy smile on her voice.
“Oh,” An image of everything that happened to us at the bar and me sleeping on her bed clouded my mind. “How are you now? Have you talked to your boyfriend already?”
“No, but I didn’t call you for that. A-actually, I... I missed you, Harry. I’m just wondering if... if I can see you today?”
I took her question for a moment. I didn’t want to disappoint her but- “Sorry, Michelle but I have plans today with my best friend.” There was a moment of silence on the other side of the line. “Maybe, next time? I hope it’s okay for you?” I told her, hoping she wouldn’t get disappointed.
“O-of course. It’s not a problem to me though. Thanks, Harry. I’ll... I’ll see you next time then.” There was a smile on her voice and I felt relieved.
“Thanks. Bye.” I hung up before concentrating on the road where the cars were already moving in its normal pace. The moment the traffic light turned to green, I made my way through my destination.
Yesterday, my sister, Gemma gave me two tickets to an amusement park. Since I have forgotten my birthday plans for Sandra a week ago; I’d decided to make it up for her this time. I wanted it to make the best date ever for her.
