Harry

I woke up with a start; sweat trickled down my spine after having that horrible nightmare. I was surrounded by unfamiliar faces in the middle of the dark and they were hitting me.  I felt my body went sore and numb. My mouth tasted like blood. I was desperately calling for Victoria’s name, begging her to help me. But all was left for me to do was to watch her run away from me while holding a guy’s hand.

NO! That wasn’t just a bad dream. It really happened!

I opened my eyes and then I heard someone speak beside me.

“Harry, you’re awake now! Thank god.” I turned my eyes to my side and I saw Rebecca kneeling beside me as she wiped a damped cloth on my forehead. She was my best friend Sandra’s mum. But what was she doing here?! And where am I?

I tried to sit up but I groaned after feeling the throbbing pain inside my head, making my visions fuzzy. The other side of my ribs hurt too.

"You are not yet in good condition, Harry." Rebecca said as she helped me laid down the couch. "The doctor said you still have to rest.”

I looked at her with a blank expression, as I still tried to figure out where I am.

“Do you want something?” she asked me.

With her question, I recognized the dryness in my throat. “Water,” I mumbled.

“Wait for me here, okay?” Rebecca said, before hurrying towards the kitchen.

I looked around where I was and I then realized that I was inside Sandra’s house. And I couldn’t remember how I ended up being here.

My head ached more when I tried to remember everything that happened to me last night. I was on my way to Victoria's house last night to pick her up for our date but when I saw her kissing some other guy inside her car... things went really bad very quickly.

I realized she was kissing Niall. And it just made me angrier. Of all people, why it had to be him?!

Out of anger, I started giving that bastard a hard punch on his face. But moments after, I was already being mobbed by a group of guys who almost beat me to death. I was expecting that Victoria would stop them, but instead she ran away with that douche.

Tears stung my eyes after remembering that horrible scene again and I felt as if someone had stabbed a knife inside my chest. Victoria. She was the only girl I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I still couldn't believe she cheated on me!

Anger went throughout my whole body, making my blood boil at the replaying memories in my head. This was all Niall’s fault and I wanted to kill him.

I stood up ignoring the pain in my body. My vision was still fuzzy, making me to stumble back on the couch. I closed my eyes as I tried to control my heavy breathing.

“Harry, are you okay?!” I heard Rebecca's voice again. I slowly opened my eyes and glanced at her. She was sitting beside me, holding a glass of water. She still had that worried look on her face. And I just realized that Sandra wasn't around.

“W-where’s Sandra?” I asked her, though I was too exhausted to speak.

“She... she went out to look for Victoria, but she promised me she’d be back.”

It took me seconds before her words registered inside my throbbing brain. Why did she have to look for Victoria?! I wanted to ask Rebecca again, but no words came out of my mouth.

I drank on the glass of water she handed me, praying it could help me think better. I had a bad feeling about Sandra’s idea. What if Victoria was with Niall? What if they hurt Sandra? No way! I have to find her.
