Third person
"So, my name is Jessica Odinson, I had a husband and have two kids," Aphmau said recapping a little to make sure her friends weren't confused. "I got married to Jason who was a mortal so he died of old age about 60 years ago," She explained with pain in her voice. "What do you mean as in he was mortal," Dante asked. The whole thing was confusing to him but he went with it. He also had a very strong feeling that this was a prank. "Oh, I am 280 years old!" Aphmau said with a hint of pride. You see usually her kind can live for up to 2000 years, not a lot survived. They could get killed or they could be erased from time completely. So to be able to stay alive for 90 years more then the average was an achievement. Of course she did that by hiding for about 150 years but she still did. "I can change how old I look at my wile," She said this with a bit of guilt. To achieve something like this, one would have to give up their home in order to do this. So Aphmau left everything behind in order to live among humans. "We are like changelings. We can change into things like wolves, foxes and birds but their are things we can each turn into that no one else can. For example mine are a squirrel, a narwhal, a cat and a mouse," Ross explained to the stunned people.
"That is also kind of my job, I was not born one," Aphmau said. "I also work as a bunch of other things," Aphmau continued. The group looked happy to be talking about an every day thing. "Such as?" Katelyn asked. Aphmau took in a huge breath "A high school teacher, a kindergarten teacher, a sassy lawyer, a lord, a lady, a night guard, a survivalist, a world traveller, a server moderator, a Pokemon trainer, a mod reviewer, a set designer, a script writer, a voice actor and a youtuber!" She said in one go. Her friends jaws dropped. "I would love to answer more of your questions but I would like to spend some time with my children, who I haven't seen in about 20 years, so if you'll excuse me," She said as she edged towards the front door. "Fine," Jin mumbled and before anyone else could protest, Jess scooped up her kids and sprinted out the door. "Is this a prank?" Garroth asked. Sky media just looked at each other before Ross turned himself into a grey squirrel. Everyone gasped except for Travis. "I was wondering when she was going to tell everyone," The white haired boy said. Everyone turned to him looking surprised. "My father was a demon warlock, I could sense powers like these," He flatly said. Katelyn looked like she was going to murder Travis. "So Aaron, how does it feel to know all of this?" Sky asked as he sat next to him.
Jess walked down the roads whilst holding her kids hands. The sun had just set and the night time chill had just kicked in. With it being about November, it was only about five O'clock. "So have you been good for uncle Cory?" She asked but already knew the answer. They both nodded. "Mommy, when can we come back with you?" Joseph asked. You could see the pain in his eyes and how much he missed her. Jess sighed as she entered Olive Garden. "I don't know but it will be soon, I hope," She answered and mumbled the last part as she sat down. "So how is school going?" She asked, quickly changing the subject. "We are home schooled now," Julia said with a mouth full of bread-sticks. Jess frowned a little. She remembered how she was home schooled and how lonely it was. However they had each other and Jess only had Aphmau. A person she made up to hide the truth about herself. She regretted everything. She shouldn't have left her home, she shouldn't have left her kids, she shouldn't have left herself. She lied to everyone. About her sanity, her happiness, her past and her future. She lied to everyone, including herself. She lied to herself the most. Saying things like 'it's going to be okay' When it clearly wasn't. She tricked herself into believing things that were the furthest from the truth. And sorry would not cut it.
Aphmau's P.O.V
But sorry was the only thing I could say. I am sorry for lying. I am sorry for not telling you the truth. I am sorry for the truth. I am sorry for leaving you. I am sorry for arriving in the first place. I am sorry for my children. I am sorry I have children. And I am sorry I left them. I am sorry for the damage that I have done. I am sorry for the damage that can't be undone. I am sorry for the pain I have caused. I am sorry for my fake identity. I am sorry for my cover. And the fake friendships I have built to make sure it isn't blown. I am sorry for not mentioning something. I am sorry for not saying anything. I am sorry for my sanity and how it's breaking. I am sorry for my happiness and how it doesn't exist. I am sorry for my age. I am sorry for my kind. I am sorry for you. I am sorry. So very sorry. But that won't make it okay. Nothing will. And I am sorry for that. And I am sorry that I did so much and yet the only word I can think of is sorry. So I am sorry. And I hope you can forgive me.
