Chasing A Hyuga (SasuHina)

Chapter 2

-The next morning-

*tapping on window*

I woke up and looked outside my window, as I opened it up a slick pitch black crow soared in and landed on top of my head and began to caw. I held up my arm as it hopped onto it. A small tube was connected to her foot, a crow being used as a messenger bird. Yup. This is my brother, Itachi. I sat the crow down on the windowsill and rubbed underneath her soft silky  feathers by her chest and began to read the letter.

"Sasuke, It's been 3 long years since I've last seen you. They told me the news that you'd be returning any day now. I can't wait to see how much you've grown and new skills and moves you picked up along the way. Be safe on your trip home, love you little brother."

Shit. Has it really been 3 years already.. Time sure went by fast. I said to myself as I put the letter inside my bag. I remember running into him in the middle of a mission he had. Im sure he did it on purpose though, cause if he really didn't want to be seen he would've made sure of it.

*Sigh* I walked over to the bathroom and took a quick shower as I walked back to the room the crow was still sitting on the windowsill. Huh, that's weird none of his crows ever stay this long. I walked over to her, well shit you can stay with me for however long you want little buddy, I said petting the top of her head. She immediately started cawing. Ha it's like you understand what im saying to you, that's pretty cool. I said with a small amused laugh. I looked up at the clock, 11 noon already, guess I'll grab some supplies and head out. I'll reach home in about two days. 

As I walked threw town with my little shadow on my shoulder I gathered supplies from different stores.

*Back Home At the Hyuga Mansion.*

I woke up to a beautiful morning, I opened my balcony door and took in the suns warm rays that hit my ale skin, with a slight breeze that moved the clouds, shaping and forming them as my hair blew gently in the wind.

I heard a soft knock at my room door, "Lady Hinata, may I come in"

Of course I replied, walking back inside opening up my curtains.

"Oh! Lady Hinata! Don't worry yourself with those I got it!" the maid said running towards me taking the curtains out of my hand.

"Nina was a gentle, kind soul. She was two years younger than me with light skin and beautiful brown hair that fell just above her hips. She was one of my best friends since I was about 6 years old, her mother laura was our original maid so everyday she brought her daughter along. When Nina turned 5 her mother passed away so the other maids that lived here raised her. This is why she is the only maid I ask for, I dont see her as my maid although she portrays herself as mine.. To me shes just another girl trying to find her place in this chaotic world."

Now Nina! Im not helpless you know! I said quickly moving behind her and fixing the other silk red curtain.

"Oh lady Hin-"

It's just Hinata, no need to say lady. I said cutting her off. How many times do I have to tell you. I said scolding her.

"As you wish.. Hinata"

Thank you Nina. I said smiling at her.

"Shall I run your bath?"

No need, please continue with whatever you were doing before me. I said smiling at her. I've got the rest handled.

"As you wish La-.. I mean Hinata. But just before I leave there are some rumors I've heard going around town that I think you'd like to hear, that cute little Uchiha boy is returning very soon. They say he's already making his way back home as we speak. " she said smiling walking out of my room.

Shocked, I walked out to my balcony looking at the towns tall iron brown doors.. Sasuke.. You're finally coming home.. I felt my heart beat fast from the news, a small smirk formed on my lips as I leaned down with my elbow against the railing and my chin gently laying on the palm of my hand.
I can't wait to see how much you've grown, I thought to myself as I looked beyond the towns wall.
