Nardole stood at the helm of the tardis console desk with his hand grasped around the dematerialisation lever shaking like a leaf pushing up his glasses. Sweat ran down his forehead like ocean waves and his voice jittering. The orange time rotor, in the centre of the control desk, dimly lit the room with the roundels around the walls.
The door of the Tardis swung open letting a bright yellow light in. Nardole quickly got ready to pull the lever to send the Tardis back into space. As he done so he heard a familiar voice
"Git aff! It's mine!" Roared the tall, thin, grey haired, Scottish man crawling into the console room with a metal case he threw in by the control desk. Clinging onto his boot was the black burnt skeleton hand of, one of many, screeching creatures demanding the case."Doctor!" Screamed Nardole.
"Now Nardole! Hurry!" Yelled the doctor.
The doctor was in pain, Nardole could tell from his voice. He had never seen the doctor like this before. In immediate action Nardole pulled down the dematerialisation lever before rushing to the doctors assistance.
Nardole looked out of the doors as he tried to pull the doctor up to safety to see that the Tardis was soaring through the orange clouds of the planet bellow. Three black ghost like figures with razor sharp claws and blood red eyes were attached on to the doctors red velvet coat. The doctor, with on hand holding on to Nardole and his other fending the flying demon like monsters with his sonic screwdriver. As the blue impulses of light from the doctors device loosened the grip of the monsters Nardole heaved the doctor in to the console room.
The doctor slammed the two wooden police box doors shut and ran to the control desk where he pulled two identical red levers which sent the Tardis into the time vortex with a thunderous rumble."Where is it?!" Panicked the doctor searching for the case.
Nardole had already picked it up and handed it to the doctor who was already opening in.
"So what exactly did we just risk our lives to get?!" Snapped Nardole in an anxious tone.
The doctor took out a red silk hanky which he used to pick out a glass orb which was glowing a soft pale blue colour "this little beauty Nardole! A Svonix sphere, it's a power source capable of powering and creating anything you could think off. Unfortunately people discovered immoral uses for it. The time lords eradicated them from existence centuries ago. One of them must have survived" informed the doctor examining the sphere "just imagine the damage one of these could cause if the Daleks got hold of it"
"Wouldn't it be better if we just left it with...them" questioned Nardole as he drifted in and out of piloting the Tardis.
"Vergons, they were guarding the sphere"
"Then why did we steal it from them?" Asked Nardole getting more and more impatient with the doctor who was putting the sphere back in its case to take it up stairs.
"Because it isn't meant to be guarded. It wasn't meant to be used for anything for anyone. It is to be destroyed!" Said the doctor as he limped up the stairs with the case.
The Tardis landed with a thud causing the doctor to turn back and Nardole to operate the console.
"Where are we? We didn't land did we? I didn't tell you to land why did we land?" Fired the doctor.
"I don't...the scanners glitching I can't get a fix" said Nardole watching the scanner which was static. The doctor placed the case on to a seat next to the console desk. After dusting down his velvet jacket the doctor pulled down the dematerialisation lever to send the Tardis back up into space but nothing. All that happened was the engines murmured and the lights dimmed down, "every time...every time"
