Given my circumstances I had to survive in order to make myself better. Everyone is so happy yet here I am wondering how the hell my life ended up like this. My mother used to love me until my father left and never came back home. Jolisa (Jo-Lisa) was my mother's name and my father I don't know. The crack took over my mother's once beautiful features now every melanin crease in her skin seems to age faster than I can blink. Where I lived wasn't the best neighborhood in the city but everybody knew who my crackhead momma was so of course it made me an open book for people to know I was her daughter.
My name is Versailles (Ver-Sigh) I'm 19 years old. I was born October 4th at Mt. Soars hospital. I can't sugar coat like I'm skinny I've never been but I'm definitely on the thick side with hips unlike any other. My 42D boobs and plump lips can't go unnoticed yet I get a little insecure about my eyes. They aren't bright colored so I tend to look away from people rather than look them in the face. I'm 5'3 I know I know a shorty right? So what it takes me a little longer to reach stuff from cabinets I still get it either way. I graduated high school with straight honors so my environment doesn't reflect my education believe that hunny! I work at this Diner called Sully's they make the best of everything in the city from breakfast to fish dinners! I've been a waitress there for the past 4 years now. Sully and his wife Sarafina have always looked out for me since I was younger they are more like parents to me than my biological ones will ever be.
Today was a Tuesday one of the slowest days depending on the crowd. I was getting coffee for Mr. Lo he's been a regular here even before I was born. I walked over to him and that man's smile could make anybody's shitty day go great I'm telling you!
"Hey Mr. Lo! I got you some fresh coffee while you wait on that lunch plate of yours. Is there anything else you might need?" I asked while pouring the coffee
"Not at all sweetie! You know Sai when are you going to get out of this place? You are smarter than you know and you have such a bright future for yourself" He looked up at me
"Now Mr. Lo you know I've gotta keep the food on the table for myself and I have bills. I have no time to think what's next for me" Even though I knew in the back of mind I couldn't work at the diner forever.
"Well whenever you do decide to pursue a lovely career I will be right here rooting for you!" He smiled and looked back at his news paper
As time passed the customers were coming in slowly since earlier. It was already 8 and the diner closes at 9. Just as a few customers were finishing a group of men walked in. They had on all black tailored suits I could tell they weren't from around this ratchet ass part of town. I decided to end my shift with them being the last customers. I grabbed my notepad and walked my way over to the large booth.
"Welcome to Sully's diner my name is Versailles and I'll be your waitress. What can I start you guys off to drink with?" I asked while looking at the table
"We will all have coffee and a few waters" One guy said
"Coming right up!" I walked away and about 10 minutes later I brought everything to the table
"Anything else I can get you guys?"
"How about a kiss sweet cheeks" One of the guys looked at me and slapped me on my ass
"Yo fuck outta here touching me dude!" I slapped him in the face which was my first reaction because you don't go touching on me I don't play that shit
"You bitch! Do you know who you are fucking with" The guy got up from the booth and when I had realized what I did I began to back away because he was WAY taller and bigger than me
"Excuse me fellas is there a problem?" Sully came over thank God saving my ass for sure
"Yeah everything is cool..."He looked at Sully and walked back to the table
"Sai why don't you go ahead and clock out me and the others will clean up from here" He insisted
"Ohkay Sul I'll see you tomorrow" I hugged him and grabbed my things
As I walked to my car I noticed the men leaving too. The same guy from earlier started walking over to me I can't lie I was scared as shit. I fumbled with my keys and dropped them as soon as I grabbed them he was right there in front of me with the other guys.
"You know what I could do to you for disrespecting me? His figure seem to over power me...
"Aye Ronnie! Get your ass over here what the hell are you doing?! Scaring this girl half to death
"Franco man she smacked me earlier I was gonna teach her ass a lesson not to fuck with me!" His voice boomed
"Shut the fuck up and get in the car I'll deal with you later!" He began speaking in some language
"Listen I'm sorry for his idiot immature behaviour. I'm Franco...Franco Gustavo" He smiled extending his hand out to me which I didn't shake
I must've been in a trance because his brown eyes and strong jawline had me staring too damn hard. He was at 6'6 and every bit of fit. Would it be crazy to say I was drooling a little mentality over him?
"Do you like what you see?" He smirked
"Huh what yeah...I mean no...I-I I have to go!" I was looking for my keys
"Looking for these?" The key ring wrapped around his finger I went to reach for it but he snatch them away before I could touch them
"What's your name?" He asked
"Versailles...now can I have my keys back?" I was getting a bit irritated
"Sure if you give me your number" He looked at me
"Tuh! Not in a million years bruh. Unless we run into each other again which will never happen then you'll get my number until that opportunity comes goodnight Franco Gu-whatever the rest you said"
I proudly snatched my keys out his hand. I got in my car and drove home. I was exhausted from such an evening I took my shower wrapped my hair and put my bonnet on. Yes I said my bonnet I'm not the only girl that wears one so skrrrt skrrrt! Anyway I checked my phone for messages after that I went to sleep with that Franco guy on my mind.
Damn why did he have to be so fine lord?!
