A few hours pass and jane tries to text Sam. But no answer. Her house is empty without Sam. Her heart was silently yelling for Sam, she kept on feeling guilt and anxiety. She keeps thinking she did something wrong, "Was I going to fast, was I too clingy?" Jane complains in her head. She managed to fall asleep. In the morning she was expecting to have missed text and calls from Sam. Jane widens her eyes, every minute that passes, the more the worry invites itself in. She decides to go and see if Sams mom has seen her. Jane collects herself and gets ready, the classic hipster throws on a flannel, jeans, and galaxy converse. She grabbed her backpack and hung it on one side of her shoulder. Jane was tongue tied the whole walk. Steps, and maybe just one more? Jane reached Sams front door. She realizes that this one knock will either be sam explaining where she's been, or Sams mom having no clue where she is. This is one of those moments, it's either going to be life changing or a funny story. Janes finds one bit of braveness, then knocks. She waits a few moments. The door opens slowly. "Oh, hi Jane. Can you please tell Sam to come home, I assume she slept at your house." Janes' heart skipped a beat. She instantly assumes the worst has happened. The words that just came out of Sams mothers mouth scared her. "I, uh. Sam, she left my place early, and I assumed she came here..." Jane said with a confused voice. "Wait, what?! Have you seen her at all since you left?" "No" Jane didn't know what else to say. "I'm going to call the cops, this isn't like her. She wouldn't just leave us hanging, Jane can you go look around town for her, you know, at her favorite spots?" "Of course, just, please text me if you hear anything..." Sams mom nodded and closed the front door. Jane felt the same way she felt when she found out her mom and brother went missing. She couldn't walk. "I can't lose her..."
