You stare at the phone in your hand, unsure what to respond. Luckily, you come up with an idea. Your fingers dash wildly across the keyboard, typing a simple message:
Got breakfast w/ friends. Srry mom forgot to tell u :(
You give Matt a quick peck on the cheek, and wish him a hurried goodbye before making your way out of the car. Backing out of the driveway, he leaves, giving a little wave before driving away.
Holding your breath, you slowly enter your house, expecting to see your mother angry, somehow knowing what you did, but she isn't there. With a sigh of relief, you enter the kitchen, when you hear your mother's voice bellow behind you, "You have some explaining to do, Y/N."
