Chapter 1

Iris knew why she is the Dragon Princess, it was because of her strength and resolve, it was her magic powers that can protect the people in the Unova region. Of course Iris was thrilled when Elder gave her that title and was even more thrilled to become the Dragon Queen but only if she finds a suitor who is fit for her. Drayden had told her that she can not married someone who has weak power, it is her own life and she can marry anyone she wants but not right now...

"Where are we now?" Iris asked to the people who is leading her carriage.

"Striaton City. There is already a room reserved for you and to let you know that each Leaders of eight cities are coming to this city for their annual meeting." Spoke the person who is outside the carriage.

"What's it about?" Iris asked curious.

"One of them will be in charge of looking after you. Think of it as your bodyguard to protect you from any upcoming dangers. Do not worry, it will be over once you find a husband." That same person answered.

Iris didn't like the thought of marrying a stranger, she is sixteen years old. It made her feel that her life of freedom is closing its doors on her, she still wants that freedom.

"We liked to welcome you all to the Striaton Restaurant where you can relax from your travels." Greeted the green haired young man named Cilan.

"We are not here to relax. We are here to discuss an important matter." Spoke a man wearing a cowboy hat named Clay.

"I have to disagree with you on that. The reason why we are here is to pick which one will be suitable for the task." Said a woman with blonde short hair named Elesa.

"Even though this meeting will become short, we need to think carefully about who will be responsible for looking after Iris until she finds a suitor." Drayden said.

All the leaders began talking about who will look after the Dragon Princess, some considered it an honor but others thought of it as babysitting for a child.

"I'm curious to see what flavor the Princess holds." Cilan spoke with a smile.

"I wonder what she looked like. I bet she's beautiful and I know that she'll be my type." The boy with the red hair said named Chili.

"What makes you say that?" Asked the boy with blue hair named Cress.

Chili looked at his brother in disbelief "because she has fire power like me, after all of Dragons have that." He said.

"Some Dragons do not possessed fire." Cilan said making him shocked.

A man came rushing into the restaurant and is panting, all leaders looked at him "what's wrong?" Burgh asked.

Once the man caught his breath, he looked at all the leaders "the Dragon Princess had wandered off!" He shouted.

Just when Iris reached her destination, she quickly took off before the people could catch her. It's great that she can have this freedom, she gets to explore this city on her own.

"I wonder what I should do first." Iris looks around seeing shops and homes, it's very different from her village.

"Get her!"

Iris turned her head back and saw four people in black running towards her, she follows her instinct and run far away from them as she avoids bumping into civilians while those four people just pushed them away.

A man who is amongst the four created an orange orb, Iris knew that it is a fireball. That man threw it at her but luckily she isn't weak, she created a barrier to protect herself from the attack. Then she threw an electric ball at the four of them, this time a different man blew out fire at the electric ball that made it vanish and the fire is headed for Iris.
