Evening was there and it was almost time to close. But Alexis was nowhere near done for the day. Tired and fatigued, she was trying her best to finish the preparation of her next creation, the huge four tier wedding cake which was to be delivered next morning.

By the time she finished, sun has already gone beyond horizon and darkness had settled in.

Closing her shop, she noticed one of her cake was still sitting in fridge.

'Shoot, one of the client cancelled. Poor fellow, his engagement was called off' she thought. Being private person, Alexis had respect for other's privacy so she didn't pry for details.

After thinking for a while, Alexis finally decided to pack the cake and give it to her neighbor, old Aunt Marley.

Being a bakery owner, Alexis had now grown a dislike to her desserts. Eating one too many can do that to you.

Meanwhile in small Italian restaurant, Le Plaisir, young chef Clay was about to finish his shift. Owner was generous enough to allow Clay to cook something for himself. On the contrary to his usual routine, Clay decided to eat in his small apartment.

'Ah it's late again. All the bakeries must be closed by now' he thought sadly. Craving for desserts, he had to settle for some quickly whipped pasta. Dejectedly he packed the food and left for home.

Wind whipped her hair as she rode her bicycle. Even though she owned a car, she preferred her bike. Not a good choice for today, considering it was dark but Alexis couldn't care less. She enjoyed fresh air more than anything else.

Upon passing a park on her way, Alexis thought to spend some time there. Life was getting monotonous with her bakery now rising in popularity and work was the only thing to do. Some time to herself wouldn't hurt, she thought.

After parking her bike, she entered in and searched for her favorite spot. Sitting in front of fountain has always soothed her, seeing the water dance was secret pleasure for her. She was overjoyed as she saw empty bench opposite to fountain. Setting her cake aside, she got comfortable on bench.

She was relaxing when she saw her friend passing by the fountain.

"Emily" she called, running after her. Two college friends then indulged themselves in a long chat.

Clay felt lonely while walking home. No one but emptiness was there to greet him home. So instead of going home, he decided to visit a place filled with people and what better place than a park, he thought.

So he decided to go to the nearby park. Although it was on longer route to his home, it was a much needed change.

He got a call from his colleague who was on night duty. Keeping his parcel on nearest bench, he went on receiving the call. Apparently there was some shortage in kitchen and he was requested to call the supplier.

His mood was already ruined by the phone call as he was not able to enjoy the park. Grabbing his pasta, he headed straight towards his home. But little he knew, what he was craving for, he was getting it tonight.
