Chapter 1: It's more fun in the Philippines!

ㅡ ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ

Victoria's Point Of View

You wouldn't believe what I'd spent in the last 4 hours. Well, ang cheap lang ng mga things sa China so I planned to buy many things. I spent 500 Chinese Yuan which is equivalent to 72.43 US dollar. So yeah, I bought souvenirs for my Filipino families. Just random souvenirs for families.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Ninoy Aquino's International Airport. Local time is 1:53 am and the temperature is 32 degrees celsius. Mabuhay!"

Well, I waited for some of the passengers to get off the plane and took my bags and went off the plane as well. I waited at the baggage claim area and as expected it took me 30 minutes to get all my 4 suitcases. I went to the Sim Card area and bought a Smart Card and asked them how these things work. They changed my sim card on my Samsung S7 and asked me if I'd be keeping my last sim, well ofc. Who wouldn't, right?

I waited at the taxi stand and told them to drop me off at a hotel. I checked in and when I opened the room I quickly gave the lobby boy a 10 dollars since I haven't converted my money yet. I jumped on the bed and felt the comfort of the soft mattress. Talk about a beauty sleep, I badly need one.

  ㅡㅡ  THE NEXT DAY ㅡㅡ

I woke up and ordered some bacon n eggs from the menu they have at the hotel and I can say that they have quick service around here because it only took 20 minutes to cook bacon and fresh eggs and a caramel macchiato. I'll my mom today because I came all the way to the Philippines only to not know where my grandmother lives.

I skype-d my mom and looks like she's on a horror movie because she's got face mask all over her face.

"Hey mom!" I waved at her.

"Hey Vic! Just putting on face mask before I go to sleep, what's up?" She said.

"Well, mom. I don't know where to find grandma here. Where does she live?" I asked while taking a sip of my macchiato.

"Well, she lives in Northern Cebu." And she yawned right in front of the screen which means that she's sleepy.

"I'll just text you her address, Vic. Her name is Maria Rosella De Guzman. So yeah, goodnight, Vic. Talk to you tomorrow." Then she hanged up and I went to book a ticket to Cebu and booked the flight which leaves in two days because it's cheaper so in the mean time, I'll go to some malls here.

I stepped out of the hotel and went to some mall. I bought a few things and almost tore my credit card because things here are cheap, you know.

As I was taking a sip of my Coffee Jelly Frappuccino I was leaning on the left side of the escalator then accidentally my Frappuccino spilt all over my white dress. "HOLY SHIT." I said as I looked over at the person who did this to my dress. "This dress was worth 400 $, you son of a bitch!" I yelled and saw that other people were looking at me. "STOP RIGHT THERE YOU MOTHERFUCKER." I saw him stopped and I quickly slide down the handle of the escalator.

"You jerk! Do you know how much this dress is? This is a designer's dress! This is not just from some random cheap boutiques." I said while glaring at him. "Alam mo miss? Nasa Pilipinas tayo, uso mag-tagalog dito, okay? Pag kami pumupunta sa lugar niyo, nag-eenglish kami diba? Nasa teritoryo namin kayo, kayo mag-adjust, kakagigil kayong mga kano e." Then he brushed his hair and he looks pissed.

"Well, bakit nagtatakbo ikaw pa-down sa escalator? Are you running from someone?" I asked trying my best to speak tagalog because what he said did make some sense. "I'm running fro--- oh shit here she comes, act normally." He said and held my face, placed his thumbs on my lips then kissed them.

I was shocked with what he did and immediately slapped him after pushing him away. "What the fuck was that?!" I complained while he was looking around. "She's gone. Oh yeah, that wasn't a kiss because technically I was kissing my thumbs. Kitakits." He said then ran off to somewhere. Now what am I gonna do with this dress?!

I went to the bathroom and took some apparel that I bought and replaced the coffee-stained dress. I then packed my bags and went back to the hotel.

I opened my laptop and quickly group called Anne, Francine and Rowena. "So, tell us what happened? Why do you have such the long face?" They asked. "Well, I'll be flying to Cebu where my grandma lives in two days and you wouldn't believe how cheap things here are. I bought so much clothes already. And it's only been 2 days!" They were all giggling and looked excited but Rowena wasn't. "Come on, what about the bad news?" She asked. "Well, I met a guy.." They all widened their eyes. "Oh my gosh, that's great news! You've finally moved on from James!" They said. "NO! JUST LET ME FINISH. This guy is a total devil! Anne, remember that white dress I bought from Hermes Spring fashion show last year? Well guess what? That douchebag ruined the dress by spilling my coffee jelly over my dress at the MALL!!" I exclaimed and they all said 'oooohhhh'. "That's a bummer because you kissed James in that dress!" Anne said and I nodded. "Exactly!"

"What now?" Francine asked. "Philippines may be a small island but they have like millions of people living there. How would you take revenge on that guy?" She asked. "Honestly, I don't care anymore. Let karma do it's thing." They all agreed. "That's our girl. Well, goodnight, Vic. It's like a few more hours then it's morning again. See you tomorrow! We love you." "Bye Vic! Take care!" "We love you!" And I hanged up and laid on the bed facing the ceiling.

"I better go get food. I'm hungry."
