Paris Hobbs.

Or also known as my beautiful wife.

My smart, adorable pud of happiness and love.

We met in high school, in art class. We made a group project together. Cliché, i know. But it was love at first sight for me. She was introduced as the new girl and I immediately were struck by her looks. She wore a plain white t-shirt with a black, open hoodie on top. A pair of blue skinny jeans and her blonde hair in a ponytail.

I were 17 at the time, starting my last year in high school. I only had to last two semesters and then I'd be free. At least until i applied to college, but that's getting ahead of myself.

Anyway, my seventeen year old self was completely drawn back. Think of it like when you meet your favourite star and you're so amazed by how lucky you are to actually meet them face to face, that you cant think of anything to say so you just stand there with a goofy look on your face.

Paris wasn't exactly my star crush but she turned out to be the reason to why i managed to get through my last year of high school alive. She was the perfect student with excellent grades and brains. She was the type of girl to immediately get your parents approval and almost every guy in the school were practically swooning over her. Even me. But I weren't a guy and that crushed my dreams of ever getting together with her. Or so i thought.

I were never the type of girl who made all the teachers happy just to have me in their class. No. Most teachers turned pale as soon as they saw my name on the class list. I didn't exactly cause so much trouble, no, but i always had a sketch book or pad with me, always drawing instead of listening to the teacher. And that made them crazy.

You see, trying to make me pay attention in a class was nearly impossible. I never had a good relationship with the more practical subjects and it mostly bored me out, making me have to take extra classes which bored me out even more. Trying to make me focus and listen in one of these classes was an impossible task and it became even harder when she came along.

Paris Hobbs was perfect. The kind of perfect that every parent wishes for their child to be and my parents were one of them. I was a problem child, not in the way that i screamed and had a bad temper, no I didn't even like to speak that much. But I drew on everything.

One time, i drew on a whole wall. Filling it with spirals and cute flowers. I walked to my mom, exited to show her my masterpiece, but instead of praising me, she yelled at me and told me to go to my room. I cried the whole evening and a few days later, the wall was gone.

She was a good girl. She always answered right and she always stayed focused and listened, curious and interested in what the teacher was going to say next. She always sat straight and a bit forward, like she was prepared to take in new information and learn things. Her thirst for knowledge was never crushed by the school. I envied and adored her for that. My spirit for knowing and learning new things was long gone and I'd never be able to get it back like it once was.

School had crushed my spirits and so many more's but Paris remained untouched.

Paris was seated next to me and during the first days of the new school year; i tried my hardest to be her friend. And I succeeded, we were, after a short time almost inseparable and the teachers started to dislike me even more. I now didn't only draw during the lessons, i also talked. I talked with the stunning girl beside me and the teachers had an even harder time.

But Paris did somehow not lower her grades, no, she could talk with me during a whole lesson and at the same moment write an essay on 20k words. I couldn't, but she helped me.

We spent a lot of nights together, on the beach, in each others houses studying and in parks and in town. We grew closer over the years and we even went to the same college. She did actually manage to change me into the better. At first, the teachers thought that she'd make my lack of attention worse but she encouraged me and when i graduated, i did it with good grades. I was proud and happy. We could finally start our journey as a couple. We were living together and this was the beginning of our wonderful years as young adults.

I'm Angelita Cindy Brown and this is the story of mine and Paris Hobbs life.
