Let's Start Now (Jean x Reader)

Chapter 2: The Call

(Your name) P.O.V

It's time to go see who is in the top 10. I am so nervous that they won't pick me to be in the top ten, or my friend, [friend's name]. And if I get picked I will fight for her and she will do the same for me. I was just getting ready to go when [friend's name] came into the room crying her eyes out. I walked up to her to see what was wrong, and she looked up at me fearfully. [Friend's name] said

" I am not in the top 10 ____ what do I do?" I looked at her in a panic, and tried to ask her if I was on the list. Then [friend's name] looked at me again, smiled at me and said, in a soft, yet sweet voice,

" _____, you are in the top 10, and you can go to the Military Police for me ok?" Then,

"Are you scared, even to go to the military police now?"

"NO I won't go! I want to be with you, even if it's the Scouting Legion, I will go with you ok!" As my tears trailed down my face, I tightly embraced my friend. Both of us let go of each other and walked out the door and into the hall, ready to see what was going to happen, and holding onto each other all the way and then letting go when we arrived at the mess hall. All of the people there were happy to see that they could be a part of something and could make a difference in this world. Out of nowhere, our leader came to call out all the people that are in the top 10. When he called me up I walked proudly up to the front, and looked at friend's name. She was smiling big for me. I hope I made the right choice.

Jean's P.O.V

I see ___being called up and she looks really sad. I guess her friend is weak then, but that's not my problem. I was happy for some reason that _____ was in the top 10, but I want to know more about where she wants to go. I hope she is going to the Military Police like me. Soon when they had called all the people up, I ran to ____ to talk to her but she was talking to her friend about going to the Scouting Legion with her, and they both smiled at each other. It made me feel sick that ____ wanted to be with the Scouting Legion, the people that want to die fast. I went to Marco to talk about ____ and to find out if he knows something about her. He just looked at me and laughed

"Jean, why do you want to know about ___ so much? Do you like her or something?"

"Why would I like her, I like Mikasa and that's it ok!"

"Whatever Jean. You do like ___ and you just want to hide it from her don't you?"

"Ok maybe I do like ____. So what, I just what to know why I was dreaming about her all the time, and that's all, ok Marco!!!"

"Mmm that's why you are thinking of ____ huh? Maybe its fate, and you were meant to be, Jean."

"Yeah right, Marco like that would happen. She might like Eren, or Armin more because she's always with them."

"And do you want Eren or Armin to take ____ away from you Jean?" I looked at Marco with a WTF face, but he just smiled at me, and it made me mad a little.

"Marco you really think that I like ___, don't you?"

"Yes, I do believe you like her, and you are hiding it from me and ____ and you know that Jean."

"Oh shut up Marco! Let's just walk to our room now."
