Complicated | Colby Brock

Chapter 1

Jasmine's pov:

"Man, I'm so glad it's Friday" Sam said as he came up to me and Colby leaning on the lockers.

"Me too dude, I was just in Jensen's class and he has us doing so much work. It's like he doesn't even realise that our finals are so freaking close" I replied to Sam complaining about the history class with Mr Jensen that i hate.

"Carsen has us handing in some 3000 word assignment for Tuesday, who the hell does that so close to finals?" Colby said adding in to how much we hated school.

"I think the teachers just hate us and want us to have some early-life breakdown" Sam said making Colby and I laugh in agreement with him.

Next we all had PE together, which was our favourite class. Not because we liked PE because trust us we most definitely hated it and  didn't do sports, but because it was a complete skip because our teacher was off ill and had fill in teachers every time. It meant we had one extra hour before lunch, making lunch longer so we could leave the school for longer to get way better food.

"I absolutely love that we can skip PE rn and totally get away with it." Sam cheered as we all snuck out of the back gates behind the school.

"I know right, it's like the cover teacher doesn't even do the register." I added in just before we all heard Sam's phone beep.

"Yo, Colby, I know your gonna say no to this but I just got a text from Kelsey asking if I'd give her your number." Sam said unimpressed already knowing Colby's answer.

"Wtf, no don't give it to her please." Colby responded immediately.

I stayed quiet and didn't say anything, whenever any girl asked Colby out or took the slightest interest in him for the whole 2 years I've known him he has immediately shut them down. I've asked why before but he always just says "I like someone else"..I've never asked who but damn she's lucky and he's been waiting a long time to tell this girl.

"Are we still on for tonight?" I asked my best friends as they finished eating their food and we started to walk back to school for the last 2 classes off the day.

"Yeah man of course" Colby said in reply as he put his hand on my head and moved about my hair.

"Good good" I answered fixing my hair.

Me, Sam and Colby have always spent every single Friday night together. We have done it for 2 years and we still have never missed on night, we call it our 'squad night'..because we are the squad and it's our night.
We always hang out at one of our houses, we take turns around every week, we order pizza or whatever food we want and play video games or watch a movie or whatever we feel like doing. But there are 4 rules to squad night:
1. It is only for us 3 only, no one else is allowed.
2. We have to always order food.
3. It always has to occur inside the house, we   don't go out.
4. We always have to sleepover.
Those are the golden rules, and none of them have ever been broken.

"I'm so excited for tonight's squad night!" Sam announced.

"Let's be honest we are always excited for squad night" I added in.

"Yeah but this week we get to watch the new Ouiji movie and it's going to be amazing" Colby admitted.
(Let's pretend this movie is new, also dw there won't be any spoilers because I haven't even seen it yet.)
