Dear United States Capitalist system,

Is this what you are? What you have been for so long? What you will be for futures to come?
You're like a father who shows no love, or a father who gives me a quarter for allowance

Why do we depend on you?
Oh, that's right. We can't.

Given us the greatest eight years of our life with Barack and now Trump got us fucked up.
Why do you screw your people over so much? Over and over and over and over again you do.

What's wrong with the currency not being greens? What if women didn't have to depend on their men for a dollar.
Or 71 cents to a dollar every white woman earns.

Don't you love us? We raised you, birthed you... cut us some slack.
I guess you'll never do that since you claim to "need" us in the home with the kids everyday without work for ourselves to do.

Why do you take and not give?
Don't you know by now if you do that sorry shit to other countries, they will come for you?

But, I digress.
I'm supposed to be silent and submissive, voluntupous and tall, big breasted, big chested and narrow "make my baby's" hips.

I'm sorry but because of my education I have learned some things
1. Living in a patriarchal system and thinking I'll change it with one measly poem isn't gonna work.

2. Even though, I have or am getting my education does not mean I will earn the equivalence of a man's paycheck.

3. All the hoping and praying and reasoning or talking and negotiating is not gonna save you from your sins but

I digress.

I'm only merely a women.

Sincerely, but not sorry
A women with questions who might not get them answers
