as x'hal is a living goddess that both destroys, creates, and guides ( literally and metaphorically ) kory had a hard time grasping the idea of non-physical entities as gods when she came to earth. most in the vegan star system worshipped x'hal ( even those who seemed godless as she was forced into slavery ) and she did not pay close attention to those that did not. she never came into contact with them anyway - she was always in the hands of absolute non-believers or those that praised x'hal as if she would have congratulated them for their actions and granted them accolades for their feats. kory has embraced earth religions in all of their forms as time has gone on but she has retained a deep and lasting connection to the goddess x'hal - it could possibly be explained by the similarity in their origin stories and the fierceness of their spirit but her religion remains one of the parts of her core.
