optimism of tomorrows. given to the newborn princess by her father, king myand'r, when he first looked upon her. "look, everyone, at my pride: her name is princess koriand'r, and like unto her name, may she forever see the optimism of tomorrows." koriand'r took her name to heart and forever looks to the skies in the hopes that the next day will be better than the last.
starfire
the code name given to her upon arriving to earth by the teen titans because of what they called her starbolts. the name had previously been used by former titan, leonid kovar, who later went by red star. koriand'r took the name with grace and molded it to fit her.
kory anders
kory may be a variant of the name corey, which means 'dweller within or near a hollow.' anders is a surname with many origins and is thought to be a patronymic surname derived from the name andrew. koriand'r chose this as a play on her given name in order to avert suspicion and appear more human. later, it became a sort of stage name and modeling monicker.
goldie
an affectionate nickname bestowed on her by victor stone. this alludes to her golden skin and she has also been called the golden girl. it's been said that she looks like she's been carved out of solid gold.
