I was nervous, was she okay? Okay as physically or mentally? I mean, Catherine said that she had a concussion, some cuts, and other things, but she never told me how bad the damage was. So that's why I'm asking.. is she okay? There's only one way to find out...

I heard the little footsteps that probably belonged to Emma. I also heard the footsteps of Tal, Josie's boyfriend. Josie has been my friend for awhile, but we separated ways quickly after high school hit. She moved, so she had to go to a different high school. We said that we would keep in contact on online systems. It worked for a couple of months, but it soon faded. We texted like 'hey!' Once every two weeks or so, it didn't last long until we ignored each other for a long while.

I look at the stairs, and saw her. She had a pastel pink dress with a little bear head in the middle. She had her favorite stuffed animal with her, and still had her pacifier. She really needs to let go of that thing.

I bend down, expanding my arms for a hug. She dropped her pink stuffed animal and ran to me for the hug. You can hear her little footsteps on the wood floor, it was cute.
She tried to use her arms to extend all the way around me, but the only thing she could do was touch around my sides. I hug her, anyway. I hug her like it was gonna be my last. I never felt this much care for my sister before, we never gotten along. Well, some of the times we didn't, but we still had those nice moments with each other that could never be forgotten.

"Sissy!" She said, in her little baby voice.

"Emma." I say, letting go of her.

She looked around and soon spotted Jocilyn. She ran for her and hugged her legs, since Joci didn't notice that Emma was running for her. Joci seemed surprised for a minuet, not too long before Joci bent down and hugged her. Tal grabbed her little pink bunny animal and stood next to Josie.

   "Jozilyn!"

"Emma." I can see Joci smile from hearing her say her name again.

"It's good to see you!" Emma says like what a adult would.

"Growing up so fast..." Joci drags her finger on her face to pretend that her fingertip was a tear.

Emma stopped hugging her then looked behind Joci, where Mark and Jack stood. Her facial expression gotten a little scared. She didn't really like strangers, I was like that when I was young.

"Hey there," Jack says in a baby tone.

Jack slowly bent down to Emma's level. And that's when Emma backed up a little. I walked over to Emma to comfort her,

"Don't worry Emma, they're my friends. They won't hurt you." I say, trying to tell her that they won't.

"My name is Sean, I've heard a lot of great things about you!" Jack says, trying to sound energetic. (like he was trying to)

Emma walked a tiny bit closer, "My name is Emma.." she says shyly.

"Awe, I wish I had that name." Emma looked at Jack.

"But Emma is a girl name!" Emma giggled, getting more comfortable.

"Pft, that doesn't mean anythin'," Jack acts, "I can be girly too!" He flips his invisible hair and Emma giggled, again.
