Pain. What is life without pain? Some people only know pain. That's all they're used to. Pain is something Marinette dealt with every day. There was nothing that anybody could do to stop her bully from coming after her. This time he had thrown her down the stairs. She wiped her nose on her already blood-stained jacket. It used to be crisp white, but now it was red. She gathered her books, notebooks, binder, and stood up again.
"C'mon! Fight back!" Adrien yelled at her. She shook her head, and he growled at her. "Pathetic." She kept staring at his hand, and he followed his gaze. "Chloe!"
"Yes, Adrikins?" She came running at once. Adrien handed her the two ladybug earrings that he had been holding in his hand. "Destoy them as soon as possible." Chloe turned to Marinette, an evil smirk on her face. Scared, Marinette started trembling.
"Chloe! Please! No-" Chloe dropped the earrings to the ground, and smashed them with her foot.
Marinette collapsed to the ground, next to the earrings, crying. "Tikki! I'm so sorry!" Adrien faltered for a moment, looking back at her. He took the real earrings out of his hand, and into his pocket. He bit his lip, then kept walking.
