*Le Flashback*
Marinette and Adrien were sitting on a bench near the Dupain-Cheng's bakery, eating croissants. Marinette handed hers to Adrien. "I'm not hungry." She smiled at him.
"Thanks." He said, smiling at her. He watched her as she gazed into the distance. "Mari?" He asked her, and she turned to him. Mari. She thought. The nickname only he called me. Her eyes sparkled as she looked at him. "You'll always be there for me, right?" He thought about his mother. She wasn't suspected to live very longer.
"Of course! I'll always be by your side!" She took his hands in hers, and he looked up at her smiling face.
"You'll never hurt me? You'll stay loyal and never betray me?" His eyes were glazed with tears.
"Of course! I'll never give up on you. I promise. Do you?" She pulled him into a hug. Adrien smiled as he leaned into her warmth. She smelled like croissants. He smelled like vanilla.
"I promise." He replied softly,
*El fin de Flashback*
Adrien remembered that day now. He thought about the other day, after he pushed her into a wall. As he walked away, he thought he heard her murmur, "I'll never give up on you."
