Phoenix -
3:00 , monday 7/5/17

   I drove back to the hospital to visit Nick. I go to the lady at the front desk from yesterday.
   "room 209?", I say.
   She gives me a sad smile and nods her head.
   I open the door and Nick was nowhere to be seen. I dropped down to the floor and bursted into tears, time came and took him from me forever. I get up and walk over to the hospital bed, as I lay down I grab the pillow that still smelled like him and I see a small jewelry box. I open it and there were two piece of paper. I open the first one.

Dear Phoenix,
These past few months with you have been the best. We shared laughter and smiles. We shared our memories together. It was a dream come true. I knew I was dying and I didn't want to tell you, you looked too happy. I didn't want to break your heart. Honestly, I'm so fucking glad I sent that text message to this random number, clueless to the love I didn't know I would find. Absolutely clueless. You were everything I ever asked for. I made a bucket list when I was young and I did it with you. Thank for everything Phoenix Alexandria Rose, I love you so much. See you later my love. Goodbye is not the right word, goodbye means I'm leaving you forever. I'm never going to leave you. I'll always be in your memories.

• go bungee jumping
• fall in love ✔️

That night, I cried myself to sleep knowing he never got to finish some of them, knowing he wasn't on our earth anymore.

I remember Nick asking me the question.
"how can one live forever?"
Well you see there are many chances in life to answer that question.

he was my chance.
