Smiling at myself once more in the mirror, checking my loosely curled blonde hair and light make-up once more, I slammed the door shut and locked the car.
I breathed inwardly and stared at the school in front of me, just one more year.
"Mikeala!" I heard Charlotte shout from the other end of the parking lot.
I smiled as I walked up to my friends, giving them each of a hug.
"How was your summer Mick?"
"Was Europe fun?"
"Meet any hot foreign guys?"
I laughed slightly, Charlotte,Jenna, Kyle, Harrison and I have been the best of friends since we were younger.
Harrison and Kyle were on the football team. While Char, Jenna and I were on the cheerleading squad. I was rewarded captain last year.
We are considered to be in Brentwood's most popular students crowd, and I know it sounds dumb, but I want that to stay the same this year. Reputation is really important to me and I don't want anything to get in the way.
I haven't seen them all Summer because dad dragged me off to Europe.
See it sounds fun, until you realize you won't see your friends ALL Summer. Sure I could Skype and text and all, but it just wasn't the same.
"It was great, Europe was beautiful, and yes I had some encounters with some foreign boys."

I looked down at my schedule, hoping to burn a hole in it.
Why had they given me Chemistry first semester? Chemistry is hell and I most definitely don't want to deal with it.
Ughhh, plus none of my friends are in my class and-
"Excuse me, but you're in my seat."
I glared up to find the person who had so rudely interrupted my thoughts. Oh, what do you know, it was Jackson Brooks, aka. Mr. I think I'm so cool cause I'm a badass.
Rolling my eyes, I crossed my arms.
"It's the first day of school dumbass, there are no 'this is my seats.'"
He narrowed his eyes at me, mumbling a quite bitch, then sat across from me, that being the only seat available, of course.
"Well aren't you being sassy today Delvin?"
I glared daggers at his face, I hated it when he called me by my last name.
See, Jackson and his little crew have been feuding with me and mine for some time. He prances around school like he owns the place with his little "posse," not giving a crap about anyone else, but themselves.
Him and his little crew just...ugh...they're just so...and Jackson's the worst of them all. He has a different girlfriend almost every week and he's just so...ugh.
I'm not gonna lie though, Jackson was hot. Super hot, probably the hottest our school had to offer.
He was 6'2 and had gorgeously tan skin. Plus his chestnut brown hair that was sorta slicked back and his deep blue eyes.
He pretty much looked like a god, too bad his personality ruined it.
"Penny for your thoughts?"
"Shut up Brooks."
He smirks at me while I just make a disgusted face.

Harrison sits down across from me at the table, mumbling about how he hated his Maths class already. Finally, it was lunch.
"Wait...so you really have Chem with him?" Charlotte asks as she bites into her apple.
"Yep."
"Ew, gross, he's such a jerk," Jenna chimes in.
"You don't have to tell me twice."
"Wait, who are we talking about here?" Kyle interrupts.
"Jackson Brooks, duh."
"You said my name?" Came a very familiar, and annoying voice from behind me.
