Zodiac Short Story

Male: Capricorn, Aries, Sagittarius, Taurus, Aquarius, Leo

Female: Gemini, Cancer, Pisces, Libra, Virgo, Scorpio

A scream echoed throughout Cancer's house, which made the zodiacs caught off guard. It seems to be coming from the kitchen.

Immediately, every zodiac rushed in the kitchen, seeing Cancer standing like a deer in headlights. Not moving. "What's wrong??" Pisces, Cancer's best friend yelled, while Cancer was in the edge of tears.

"Did something happen?" Capricorn asked, looking as confused as all the other zodiacs.

Silence. Silence filled the whole room, along with some sobs from Cancer.

Finally, she spoke, or rather yelled."What happen to my chocolate cake?!" Cancer screamed at the horrific sight on the counter where her cake should be.

After some time of no one speaking, Leo spoke up. "What?".

"M-my cake...." she sobbed, "Its....".

"It's?" all the signs head lead forward to Cancer, but immediately regret it, when she started yelling again.

"IT'S GONE!!!".

Gemini gasped dramatically with her eyes widen. But then returns back to her blank face and tilted her head to the side. "That's it?".

Unfortunately, that just make Cancer cry harder, because it is the first cake that Cancer has made and wanted to share in this sleepover. Just imagine something you work so hard on, just disappears.

"..." Virgo was speechless. She have no idea how react, whether she should laugh it off, or comfort Cancer, like it's a serious topic.

Pisces walked up to Cancer, and put her arms around the crying girl. "Who took it?". Her voice was light, but demanding at the same time. She glared aggressively at all the people in the room. If looks could kill, everyone would have been dead by now.

Suddenly, Gemini gasped, "Investigation Time!".

Gemini snapped her fingers, and all the lights went off, and a weird spotlight was on her. Gemini was now wearing a tacky black hat and a cream-colored suit along with some sun glasses.

She glanced downwards, her index finger touching the center of her glasses.

"Gem," Aries scratch his head confusedly, " what on Earth are you doing?".

"..." Gemini say nothing back. The lense of her glasses reflexed the spotlight that was on her, for some unknown reason.

Suddenly, she pointed across the room to Taurus, who was eating a bag of chips. "Taurus!".

Taurus put his chips down and yelled back, "YES".

"You did it, didn't you?".

"Who me?" he put a chip in his mouth, "*crunched* I whould *crunched* nhever-".

Capricorn glared at him annoyingly, " Manners, Taurus". It took all of Capricorn's might not to punch Taurus from across the room.

But Taurus just simply ignore him and continued, "Why would you think it's me?". Even with a few chips in his mouth here and there, you could tell that he's not lying. The fact that you can see blood boiling in his eyes, it's pretty obvious. But Gemini wouldn't stop there.

"Because you love food!".

Taurus frown. He hated it when someone accuse him of doing the wrong thing. With Gemini, it gets ten times intimidating . "Chocolate cake is not really my bucket of popcorn," he mumbled, hoping that Gemini would leave him alone.

"Okay then...." she trailed of, looking around the room. "Where were you guys at when this happen?".

There goes her fingers again. This time it was pointing to Aquarius.

Immediately, he stood up, and pointed his fingers at himself. "Me?".

"Yes, you!". Gemini leaned forward to the sapphire-haired boy. "Where were you". Her voice was soft like silk, which send chills down Aquarius' spine.

"Wait wait wait wait wait," he began protested, " You think I did it?".

"Just asking some questions," she cooed, "You seem to be uncomfortable. Got a problem?".

"W-what- no". It was true that he felt super uncomfortable.

Gemini put her hands on her chin, and glared at Aquarius with silence, as if she was waiting for something.

"What?".

"I thought I asked you a question".

"O-oh, right," he chuckled awkwardly, " I was with Leo and Captain Popcorn".

"Capricorn," Cap addressed.

With her head turned around, Gemini put her hands on her hips. "I still think you're acting suspicious".

Aquarius flinced. His jaw tighten. His bangs casted a shadow on his face. Before he began to beat the common sense out of Gemini, not to accuse him without evidence, Cancer stood up. " H-hey guys...." she stammered, trying to lighten up the mood that is settled in between Aquarius and Gemini. "How about we just end it there, eh?".

"Yeah, I agree," Pisces added, "This was suppose to be fun".

Cancer continued. "We could watch a movie together.... Or maybe play some games! A-and I could always make a new cake-".

Before Cancer could say anything else, Gemini snapped. "I'm not going anywhere until I find out who it was!".

Cancer immediately backed away. A form of mixed emotions is shown on Gemini's face.

"Hey, what was that all about?!" Pisces yelled at her.

"Hey, maybe it was you who did it!" Gemini shot back, clearly not thinking.

Pisces laughed bitterly. Her eyes seems to water. "Excuse me?".

"Or-or-or," she said, creepily, like a total mad person, "it could be Scorpio! She haven't speak at all!".

Scorpio, stood up abruptly. "Hi," she said, and waved sarcastically.

"OR IT'S VIRGO!".

"Stop," Virgo demanded, "Just. Stop".

"You haven't go any evidence to accuse anyone of us!" Aquarius added, clearing taking Virgo's side.

"Agreed," nodded Taurus, stuffing his mouth with chicken popcorn.

"Or since you keep accusing everyone for doing it, maybe it was you," Virgo scoffed, "Who knows".

Gemini's lips curled into frown. All she wanted to do was helping a friend out and now everyone was going against her. Betrayed.

Aries swiftly walked in front of Gemini, defending her. "It wasn't her. She was with me, we were watching videos up stairs".

Virgo snarled, "So, you're on her side?".

"No-".

Before Aries, or anyone say another word, Scorpio stood up and said, "Guys".

She gained everyone's attention. "...There're 11 people in this room...".

There was a long silence. Everyone froze like deer in headlights.

Capricorn clicked the final piece of the puzzle together. "And the only one we're missing is...".

Out of nowhere came Sagittarius slamming the door open, with chocolate frosting all over his cheeks and mouth. "Hey guys! What did I miss?".
