1994
Hogwarts, LondonThe first snow in 1994 was early. The winter also seemed to be much colder than previous years. However, the enthusiasm in Hogwarts had somehow lighten up by the visit of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and Durmstrang Institute. Everyone was talking about the Triwizard Tournament and it was all they cared about lately.
Not long after, Lia finally found out what the elves leave was for.
"Lia, we must say that-"
"We are nervous-"
"Make it or break it-"
"It's all depend on you-"
"And your elves leave-"
"Wish us luck-"
"Yes, Munchkin-"
"And thank you."
George and Fred were standing in front of Lia, each of them was holding a bottle of black potion.
"That doesn't look good." Lia frowned, she even doubted that if the potions were poisonous. "Are you guys really going to drink that?"
"Of course we are! We have been preparing for this since September." One of them said. He looked at Lia's face and suddenly asked, "Do you know who I am?"
Lia laughed awkwardly, "Yes, Weasley."
"George or Fred?" He looked at her.
Lia focused on the two faces. They were way too similar. One of them had a little bit more frickles and the other was slightly taller. However, other than that, she found that two of them look identical. "I don't know." She decided to give up.
"Oh, Munchkin. I am disappointed." He pouted. "I thought we are better than that."
"Oh, Freddie. You can't blame me. Blame George." Lia shrugged, "But I found some differences now. You are slightly taller than George."
"How observing!" Fred pretended to be surprise, "Thank you, Lia!"
"Well, anyway, we are going to-"
"Do something big now-"
"3,2,1 and drink!"
"Cheers, Georgie."
"Cheers, Freddie."
Lia and some other students were watching them as they drink the potions. They were surrounding them in circle.
"Don't blame me if you die, please." Lia murmured. She hoped that her suggestion about elves leaves would not kill them accidentally.
They didn't look much different after. Lia watched as they carefully approaching to the Goblet of fire and put their name in it.
Silence.
The flames was burning as usual.
Nothing unusual.
The hall burst out huge cheers and clapping. Lia was amazed at how wonderful the Potions worked. Maybe she indeed had some potential in making Potions.
But that didn't lasted for long.
All of a sudden, there was a loud noise and smoke surrounding Fred and George. Everyone was curious about what happened and walked towards to the boys.
Well, unfortunately, they couldn't find them. All they could see were two old mans with silver hair and beard. The old mans looked at each other, pointing and laughing.
Lia couldn't hold her laughter also. No one can trick the Goblet and Dumbledore. Why would they even try? She watched as they struggled climbing up. Maybe she should give them a helping hand after all, always help the needy, right?
"Be careful, old man." She stressed, and helped one one of them stood up. "Don't trick yourself and die."
His face was getting closer and closer, finally stopped at only a few inches from Lia's.
"Oh, you are Ophelia. Thank you for the help." A dry, cracked and weird voice said. "Sad to say, my eyes doesn't see as clear as before. That's what happen when you grow older." He sighed and shook his head.
"Shut up already." Lia laughed, "You kinda enjoyed being an old man, don't you?"
"Yeah, munchkin, why don't you help Georgie get up also? His poor old bones won't work." He said, still with his weird, old voice.
"Alright, alright." Lia walked toward to George. She swore she could hear the bones have make some strange sound when she helped him get up. It felt like they would shatter next second.
"Hey, it works." Weird voice said again.
"What?" Lia looked back.
"The Potions. We should work together sometime. Don't you think?" Still that voice.
"Oh, that'd be a wonderful idea! You could make out product more effective." Another strange voice said.
"Maybe." Lia grinned. They really couldn't live without pranks. "I will think about it."
