"Hudson, considering how badly we need new recruits, I'm not going to play games with looking at useless files of these students you find unsettlingly perfect candidates for this line of work." Hudson shifted as his boss, Andrew McHall, said that; barely looking up from the stack of papers he was pretending to be interested in reading and signing. For the sake of the agency... He would say to himself. And he almost completely believed it too.
"She's taking Computer Programming and Encryption along with Arithmetic Mathematics at the local college too. Top of her classes." Hudson quickly added. Now McHall was interested. He took off his glasses, set them on top of the stack of papers and leaned back in his black office chair with his hands folded over his stomach.
"Go on." He beckoned. Hudson glanced down at the open manila folder in his hands again.
"She's won every match she ever had in kickboxing and taekwondo except for one where she was disqualified for..." he paused, "breaking her opponent's leg." McHall held out a hand and Hudson gave him the file, stepping back to let his boss read it. McHall went over it quickly, but two sections stuck out to him. Medical and Criminal.
She was an overall very healthy and fit girl- she did a lot of sports and outdoor activities, yet, two and a half years ago she was brought to the hospital by a random man that found her in his barn, bruised, dirty, and bleeding. Scars were found on her back and thighs but due to whatever traumatic event she had experienced, she suffered long term to possibly permanent amnesia of the several months she was considered missing. His eyebrows raised slightly at that before a cruel smile tugged at the corners of his lips as his eyes wandered over the words on her criminal record. Attempted murder. The man at defense was still recovering in ICU during the time of the trial and was later found guilty as traffic cameras caught evidence of her only fighting back in defense of rape or abduction.
"I think this is the one, sir. " Hudson said, breaking his boss's train of thought in how excited he sounded about this for a thirty-eight-year-old man that worked in the intel department.
"Get Division 4 ready for dispatch. Inform them that this is only a recruiting." McHall said. Hudson gave a curt nod and began to leave but stopped, turning to face his boss with furrowed eyebrows.
"But sir, Division 4 is-"
"Yes, Hudson. I know." McHall smiled at that almost wickedly as he left Hudson to scurry out of his office and notify the agents.
