Name one thing you lied to yourself about. Why did you do this?
That I could make a relationship that is a one way effort work. I lied to myself about my relatioship with my dad because I want us to be close. I see the people around me that have good relations with their dads and I want it too. Being able to have an actual father figure is what I really want, but fantasying about one and then facing the reality of what awaits crushes me. Lying to myself about this has only created problems for myself and others. It is affecting the relations I have with my mom, step dad, sister, and romantic relations I involve myself in. I lied to
