So we took Wendy to our little secret base, Dalton’s room in the basement. She did not hesitate to come with us. There were so many questions for us that required answers so since she requested for a safe place to speak that was only place I could think of.

Wendy gasped when she saw the room. Dalton gave a WTF look. The only girl who came to his room was his sister. She hated the place. I heard she called it the “Hell hole”. That comment made Dalton never to bring any girls to his place. Wendy was a different case. We both wanted answers. Dalton thought she would also hate place but he was surprised to see that she wasn’t.

“What?” he asked.

“Is this your room?” Wendy asked in a curious tone. I have wondered whether she liked it or not. Dalton remained silent for a while and said yes.

“Wow. Sweet place, I always wished to have a room like this” Dalton flattered with her awe. Dalton looked at me while Wendy touched the posters of his favourite movies which were pasted all over the wall.

“uhhh….Thanks, make yourself at home” Said Dalton. “Well it cannot be girly you know” he said.

“Oh my room didn’t have any of these” she said while touching the big ass poster of Naruto, which Dalton took from me when I lost a bet. The lunatic still tease me by pasting that on the wall where everyone can see. “Nice poster, what is this?”

“Oh, that’s an anime called Naruto, Well if you are asking about this poster I got it from…” There he started the whiplash again, you cunning Bastard.

“I believe we have bigger problems now” I spoke aloud interrupting Dalton. As expected Wendy turned her head towards me. “So Wendy, The selected, what is it? Also what does that has to do with me?”

Wendy sat on the black leather couch where we played video games. She was already making herself at home. I sat next to her and Dalton sat on the chair where he did all the studies. The room was half dark and we liked it that way and then she started speaking. We focused our full attention to her like two obedient students.

“Well now both of you know that I am visible only to the pure eye” Said Wendy. “I still have no clue how that happens but that was the main advantage I had to escape from where I was. It was no ordinary place like this. It was a hostel. We had to wake up at seven in the morning. Then from eight to two o’ clock it was studying hours. We learnt a lot of things. After that from three to six we had exercises. At eight we had dinner and by ten we must hit the bed, the rules were extremely strict and if they are broken the consequences will be very painful” for my point of view I saw these people as prisoners. She chuckled when my opinion is given.

“So what were the consequences” Dalton asked.

“I never knew, People who were punished never uttered a word about it. All I saw was that most of them were sitting in a corner staring at the walls, speechless for days, I think they have punished them mentally not physically, They called it nightmares

“What? That’s insane” it was indeed a fact that the mental torture lasts longer than a physical torture.

“Indeed it was, I think they have shown things that they never wanted to be seen in life, I have never done anything to fall into that position” agreed Wendy. “They never spoke of it at anytime, apart from that they acted normal”

“They must’ve been scared”

“Maybe, so while the schedule went they have summoned us randomly to a doctor. His name was Frank, they have injected various drugs to us saying that they are vaccines also they took blood samples of us from time to time.” Like all those scientific movies I knew what she is speaking now. She was a lab rat.
