"Okay miss Sullivan, can you tell us what happened," an officer said as he observed me, another one of them with a note pad ready to take what I said down. People were running everywhere; collecting evidence, and getting the bodies out of my house. I took a shaky breath and wiped my tears before speaking.
"W-well officer, I was in my bed trying to fall asleep. While laying in bed, I heard a few gunshots." I paused and took another shaky breath.
"A-and when i went to my parents bedroom I found them both on the ground!! M-'y dasd left a note..." More tears streamed down my cheeks. "I-I checked for pulses but I didn't feel any," I wiped my tears away. Detective Gordon asked me some more questions as Detective Bullock took down my words. It didn't take them long to figure out I was innocent; my fingerprints were nowhere, my parents both had large amounts of drugs and alcohol in them, and my dad had eve written a note. The police deemed it as a suicide-homicide case. It was around two by the time they left. After everyone was gone, I went up to my roof to smoke. I can't believe I did it. I was free.
"That was quite the act you pulled back there," a voice drew my attention down to the yard. Jason Dean stood in my back yard grinning up at me. He was a kid I went to school with. He was pretty chill.
"What do you mean," I flicked the ashes off.
"I know you did it Kat," Jason chuckled darkly. I narrowed my eyes at him.
"What makes you think I murdered him?" I questioned.
"I know how you felt about them. I'd see how frustrated you'd get while talking on the phone with one of them. I always heard you complain about them to your friends. Hell, I'd even see the dirty looks you'd give them when they told you something you didn't like," J.D. Explained.
"What are you gonna do about it?" I asked.
"Heck, id marry you right here right now!!" He exclaimed as he grinned and laughed. "You're just as blood thirsty as I am my love." He smiled once more. It was my turn to smile.
"I'm glad I'm not alone," I giggled.
