"Why can you not shut the fuck up!"

I angrily hit the snooze button on my alarm. Today was the first day back to school since winter break has sadly ended. It feels like it went by in a giant blur. But I still couldn't get ocean boy out of my mind. If only I had stayed a little longer that night in the alley. What would have happened?

"ROSEMARIE GET YOUR LAZY ASS OUT OF BED AND COME EAT BREAKFAST!!!!!"

Oh how I love the sound of my brothers voice in the morning. Hopefully you can tell I was being sarcastic. I decided that I should probably not sleep in, for I would deeply regret it in the future. I took a quick shower and got dressed.

"ROSE I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU'RE NOT DOWN HERE IN FI-"

"I'M ON MY WAY DOWN YOU ASSHOLE!"

I reached the bottom of the stairs and stood in front of my freakishly tall brother. Why didn't I get some of the tall genes, it's not fair.

"Why do you girls take so long to get ready?"

"Ummmm excuse me. May I remind you, one time you took a whole two hours getting ready for a date."

He stood there silently glaring at me. If looks could kill, I would be a thousand feet under right now. Oh well, that's what you get when try to sass me. Watch out world, here comes Rose ready to smack your ass with some sass! Yeah, no. I am an embarrassment to all the great sass talkers out there. Please forgive me.

"Whatever, let's get going you're gonna be late to school."

Yes my brother drives me to school. No it's not embarrassing. Well, sometimes but that's not the point.

"But I haven't eaten any breakfast."

"Should've woken up earlier. Come on, I'll buy you Mc'Donalds on they way."

"Have I ever told you you're my favorite brother in the whole universe?"

"I'm your only brother, but yes, a couple of times."

The ride to school only lasted like 10 minutes but it felt like an eternity. Why, you may ask? Oh I don't know maybe it was my brother's obnoxious karaoke singing or the long wait at the Mc'Donalds line. The answer is quite obvious. It was both.

The long line almost made me late, and those who know me know I can never be late. It's just not like me to be late. With only three minutes to spare I said goodbye to Jackson, grabbed my greasy Mc'Donalds bag, and ran a whole marathon to my first period. Yep, I still looked pretty hot doing it too. If your definition of hot is messy Hagrid hair, a red face, and old clothes, then I was definitely smoking. I can hear myself sizzling already.

"OH MY GOD ROSEEEEE!!!!!! ThankgodyourhereIthoughtIwasgonnabeallaloneandIwasgonnapanicand..."

"SHUT UP!"

"Well you don't have to be such a bitch about it."

"I know I'm sorry. I had a pretty rough morning"

"Yeah I can tell. You look pretty disgusting."

Yep. I can always count on my best friend to tell it to me straight. So much for thinking I was hot. Oh, let me introduce you. That is one of my best friends in the whole damn Milky Way Galaxy, Veronica Smith. If I hadn't known her since we've been wearing diapers, we probably wouldn't even be friends. See, me and her are complete opposites. She's gorgeous while I'm just meh. She has big beautiful green eyes while mine are boring brown ones. She has lots of friends and is the school's social butterfly, while I only know like five people. But, we've been through thick and thin together, and I am so blessed to have someone like her in my life.
