The file was almost half a foot thick. North Korea has finally made a successful test launch on one of their nuclear warheads. Somehow they stashed them away in the only place they thought no one would look, their southern counterpart. Idiots were right, until someone leaked that info to the public and Trump found out.
He launched about forty missiles to various locations all over the Korean's territory. He set in a fleet to go retrieve any salvageable warheads. They was nothing at any of the locations. Apparently, they got wind of the leak and moved them to another location. However, thanks to the president's quick lucrative actions, North and South both have common ground and are planning to push back in retaliation. The world's media is eating this up like a child being given candy.
A lot of nations are declaring neutral from the events saying that the fault lies with the one who jumped the gun. Within the states all airports have been locked down as well as ports. Anyone trying to leave or enter the country without proper authorization was arrested.
We had various options to look at this from. We could go into state side and readjust their info and do the same to the other sides so it will seem like a massive misunderstanding. But that wouldn't work because too many have eyes on this already and that would involve way too much man power. There's eliminating the problems at their source but that ould only rile up more people into the altercation. I push off the table and contemplate further ideas.
Meanwhile, Fox is suggesting the second option and providing alternative solutions. Angel keeps cutting off the ideas with "what if's". Mina slams her hand on the table cutting them both off and silencing the room. My attention still doesn't waver until she calls my name.
"Kurei," she speaks my name with a bit of energy to knock me back to what's going on. I look up at her with my expression still the same, contemplating our next move.
"We have to wait to see how they are responding before we act. If we jump in now it will seem like we are cleaning up his mess. We were not established to do that." I avert my gaze to the table as I speaks behind my hand, covering my mouth partially. "Fox set up your scanners, have them on constant coms. If anyone goes near a bullet on either side I want to know who and how many." He nods and walks away. I turn my direction to Angel at this point and drop my hand to my side. "Have our best squad leaders meet me on the top deck in three hours from now. We can fill those who don't already know and get ideas."
"Some might agree to put a bullet in the USA's head." She speaks over her tablet and continues walking out.
I look up to Mina and she has a worried look written all over her face. "Let's do what we can to avert that if necessary." I begin walking around the table to her watching for a reaction from her. These moments, the brink of world war scare a lot of people with just the idea of it. Families, friends and many other concerns run through one's mind when things get serious.
I pull her into my arms and she wraps herself around me in slight fear. She must have known for awhile and the thoughts of casualties just came across her mind. I can only do one thing at this point.
I kiss her head hold her closer and speak softly for her to only hear me. "I'll do my best and all that I can to keep us safe."

2.5 hours later

The risk raises a hundred fold when nuclear weapons are involved and the United States has a leader who loves to brag about using his. Most of the squad leaders were sitting around the table with me watching the various news channels broadcast the possible outcomes from their latest findings. XRaptor walks in notices everyone then gives a slight nod.
Most of the squad leaders were familiar with me so I knew some of them. Rubzy sat with his back against the far wall. He was a skinny white guy who could hold his own and anyone else that joined him. His team rivaled the best ones out there. Rubzy was known for taking on an army of ten thousand Nigerians, all of which were armed to the teeth, with just one pistol and a flare.
Another squad leader was one of the top dogs in the business to ever pick up a rifle, he called himself StoneMountain. The man was like a god among mortal men with how deadly he was. He calls his squad Unit 64. There are loads of stories in this guy that makes some of us scared to be even in the same room as him. Some say it's because he has fought in sixty four battle, some which are not known in history books or the media. Some say it's how massive his squad really is, which is not for certain.
SovietWomble and Cynaide sit across from StoneMountain. These guys have been through hell type missions that are more redacted than a burn spy's classified caee file.
Up next is one badass female squad leader that no one dares to go near. She is the craziest woman, that I know of to have a gun in her hands, she goes by the name Laydi of clan Menaci. If you are ever in a tough spot call her and ull be going home breathing telling people how she saved your neck. The two of us met saving an ambassador from being assassinated. She kept me covered while I led him out.
Lastly, there's Fitz he was a great strategist and a deadly fighter. He is like between SovietWomble and StoneMountain in skill.
The main screen changes to show a room full of generals of various nations. Everyone in our room sat up straight, as if we were all back at boot camp.
An automated male voice speaks clearly throughout the room. "Men, by now all of you have heard the news. President Donald J. Trump has enticed a war with both North and South Korea. On top of that all allied countries, of the United States, are refusing to aid in case the war does occur. If any of you do not wish to be involved, we understand and you may leave. However, understand that if you country gets pulled into this drama, you will be briefed on the situations."
A pause occurred and a few of the squad leaders got up and left without a single look back or word spoken. Among them SovietaWomble, Cynaide, and Fitz walk out. The room became tense a bit as StoneMountain rose from his chair and looks at everyone remaining seated.
"Do them proud if you stay. If you make it back I'll buy you all your first round." He doesn't wait for a reply or confirmation before leaving. The last of us exchange looks to one another waiting for the next one to get up and leave. This was definitely going to be one hell of a story when we all get back.
