I practically ran through the door as soon as the bell rang. I had to get to the cafeteria as soon as possible. My best friend was going to meet me there. She said she had something to tell me. I really hoped it wasn't about my ex. It probably was because otherwise she would have texted me what it was.
I had woken up feeling fresh and ready for my first day of high school. I got up and showered. When I got out, I noticed a text.
Sally I need to talk to you asap! -L
I wondered what was so important.
What is it? "-S
I can't tell you. It has to be in person. -L
Meet me in the cafeteria before school starts. -S
I picked out a red shirt, dark skinny jeans, and my black vans. I straightened my brown, shoulder length naturally curly hair and put on my make up. I applied a thick layer of lip gloss and some eyeliner. My hazel eyes seemed kind of different. But I didn't have time to worry about it. I was going to be late if I I didn't hurry.
Remembering what had happened this morning with my eyes I made a mental note to check later.
I reached the cafeteria. Thank God I had come to the orientation. I would have been so lost.
Thinking about the orientation made me wonder where Jason was. Jason and I had known each other since we were in middle school. So for like three years. I had seen him in the orientation and we had talked for a while. He told me his parents had decided to move houses and that I would never believe where.
I took out my phone and sent him a quick text.
Will you tell me where you moved to yet? -S
I found Liz, my best friend. She was yelling at some guy to go away. He seemed oddly familiar but I couldn't tell because he had his back turned to me.
"Just leave her alone! Have you ever thought that maybe there's a reason she dumped you?" she yelled.
I was curious to see who it was so I got closer. Liz stopped yelling as soon as she saw me.
"Sally."
The boy turned and I recognized him immediately.
"Angel..." I didn't know what else to say. I dumped him because I caught him making out with my "friend" Maria. His hands were all over her. he was completely drunk. To make matters worse, it turns out that they decided to get a little more comfortable and did it in the bathroom. I dumped him shortly after that. I was not going to stand for that kind of betrayal. I never spoke to Maria again and Angel went to Seattle for the summer.
A few seconds passed by and then Angel started to say something. Before he could say anything to make me get back together with him I slapped him.
"Never go near me or Liz again."
Angel smirked knowing full well that it would make me slap him again. but this time he grabbed my wrist.
" Babe, listen to me, I'm not gonna let you leave me."
He pulled me close to him. Holding me tightly with one hand and running his other hand up my back.
"Leave her alone Angel!" Liz said. That's when I noticed that one of Angel's friends had grabbed her to stop her from doing anything.
I tried to fight him but he was to strong. His face was only inches away from mine. I knew full well what would happen if he kissed me. I would melt in his arms, believe everything he said, and get back together with him. I guess you could say his kiss was hypnotic.
I could almost feel his lips on mine. He was taking his time. He knew he was stronger than me.
I closed my eyes. still struggling. suddenly I felt someone else's arms around my waist.
