Charlie's POV:
Chloe has been so distance lately... She never wants to hang out, it takes hours before she answers my texts and she almost never answers my calls. I don't know if I have done anything that makes she mad at me? Not anything I can think of... It just feels like we barely spend time together anymore. We never go out to restaurants and eat anymore. We never go to the beach. Never have movie nights. Never spend a whole day at an amusement park.

I don't know what I have done. I seriously have no clue. Mum asks almost everyday why Chloe isn't here and proposes that I should invite her for dinner. So I do, or at least try. But she doesn't answer me when I call and then she can like text an hour later and apologize, but she never calls me back. It has been too much apologizes and I don't know what to do anymore. It's always the same: 'Sorry, saw now that you called. I was busy xx'

So one day I decided to drive over to her house and just talk to her. Ask her what's wrong, figure out what I have done. So that's what I did. I took the car to her house and knocked at her door.

And guess what? Her dad opened and told me that she wasn't home. And that wasn't the worst! Her dad said that she was at Leo's. LEO'S! And that wasn't all of it. He also told me that Chloe said to him that I was going to be with them. What?!

What is seriously happening to the world?! I mean, since when did Chloe and Leo start to hang out?! Since when did they even know each other?! AND SINCE WHEN DID THEY LIE TO ME?!

I was so upset! Had they been going behind my back all this time? I had thanked mr. Lindsay and then walked back to my car. Then I had decided to call Leo. A few signals went before I heard the familiar accent.
"Hi Charles." He answered.

"Hi, what's up?" I asked trying sound normal.
"Not much, you?" Leo asked back.

"I'm bored, can I come to yours?" I replied. A few seconds past and I could hear that he muted his phone, like he was talking to someone and he didn't want me to hear it. After a few more seconds I could hear how he turned in on again with a cough.
"Uhm... Sorry. I'm feeling a bit sick, maybe another day..." Leo said and I knew immediately that he was lying to me, but I pretend like nothing had happened.
"Oh, okay..." I answered trying to sound disappointed. Even though I almost knew that he would lie to me, it killed me. I didn't know why and I still don't, but it did. "Well, see you."

"Okay, bye." Leo said and immediately hung up the call. One thing I noticed was that he didn't say goodbye like he used to, he always like yelled 'okaaaaaayyyy byyyyyyeeeee', but this time he didn't. It seemed like he just wanted the call to be over.

I put away my phone and sighed. Either I could go home and lay down on my bed and just pretend like nothing had happened, or I could go to Leo's place and confront them both. I thought for a minute, but then I decided to drive to Leo's house. 'Hopefully they will both still be there when I arrive' I thought before starting the engine and drove off.

-----

I turned off the engine and stepped out of the car. I walked over to the well known house and knocked at the door. It took a while before the door opened and I saw Leo's familiar face, he didn't look sick at all.
"Oh, what are you doing here? I told you that I couldn't hang out." He said and looked confused at me.
"A 'hi' would have been nice." I replied and made my way past him and into the house while he tried to stop me.
"No, you can't-" Leo started, but fell silent when I walked into the living room and saw her. Chloe. The love of my life. She was sitting on my best friend's couch in pajamas. It looked like they were going to have a movie night or something. Popcorn and chips were placed on the table beside two cups of hot chocolate.

I couldn't help but think how beautiful she was. I felt the tears in my eyes. First I looked at Chloe and then I turned around to look at Leo. They both just stood there looking shocked, like they didn't know what to do. And that made it even more obvious. Suddenly Chloe stood up and started to walk up to me.
"It isn't what it looks like." She said and looked sadly at me.

The tears rolled down my cheeks and I didn't know what to do or think.
"No, just- just leave me alone." I said and started to walk over to the door.
"Charlie, please." Chloe begged and walked after me, but I didn't want to talk with her then.
"Save it." I said coldly and walked out of the house.

I opened the car door and got in. I started the engine and drove home. It had started to get dark outside, but when I got home I just stayed in the car. Now I couldn't hold it back anymore. Everything just flooded out of my eyes. Everything I felt inside. My phone started to vibrate like hell, but I just let it be. I leaned forward and placed my head against the steering wheel.

I sat there for what felt like hours, 'cause I didn't know what else to do.
