6 - Worried

(END OF STORY TELLING THING THAT STARTED IN THE FIRST CHAPTER)

Charlie's POV:
As soon as I walk through the front door I feel a pair of warm arms wrap around my neck.
I look up and see.... my mum. She must've been more worried than I expected.

"Charlie, please don't ever do that again!" She begs and now I hear that she's crying.
"I'm sorry mum, I didn't mean to upse-" I start, but she interrupts me and pulls away from the hug.
"No more alcohol for a month!" Mum says strict and looks me in the eyes. Okay, wow. I thought she just was crying? Now she's mad? That woman...

"But mum-" I complain, but I can't talk this time either.
"You heard me." She answers and with that she walks away. Wow. That was emotional.

I go upstairs and when I get into my room I immediately hear someone follow me. I turn around to see Brooke, she seems worried too.
"Hey." I say softly and sit down on the floor.
"Are you okay?" She asks carefully as she walks closer to me.
"Yeah." I answer with a soft smile.

She sits down on my lap and hugs me.
"Why did you do that?" She asks while playing with my necklace with a cross that I'm always wearing.
"Nothing you have to worry about." I smile and look into her eyes. I'm not sure if she believes me or not.

"Why isn't Chloe here anymore...? Are you guys taking a break?" Brooke asks slowly. Gosh, this girl knows more about the world than I do.
"No, we're just... I don't know..." I said and she looked up at me.
"I miss Chloe and you were a lot happier then, which I miss too. And what about Leo...?" She says looking straight into my eyes, still holding my necklace in her hand.

Sometimes I just love my sister. Ah, who am I kidding? I love her all the time, no matter what, she's always there for me. Just like Leo was... before he started lying to me.

"I don't know about him either... You ask so hard questions." I smile.

Chloe's POV:
I sit alone on the couch in Leondre's house. Suddenly I hear a knock on the front door which make me jump high. At first I get really scared. I mean this isn't my house. Who can it be?

But then I find the courage to go and open. I stand up from the couch and slowly walk up to the front door. I try to look out of the window and see who it is. But it's already too dark outside, Leo has been gone all day.

I slowly unlock the door and the person outside immediately opens it before I can do anything. The door goes wide open and now I realize that it's raining like hell outside.

The person steps into the hall, she/he has a hood over the head so I can't see who it is. I immediately walk backwards and the person closes the door behind itself. I'm really scared, is it Leo? I check out the clothes and realize it's definitely not him. He didn't wear anything of these when he went to Beca...

"Leo, I told you to-" The person said annoyed and I sort of recognized the voice, but I didn't know why. I realized it was a woman. She stopped talking as she pulled down her hood. She must've realized that I'm not Leo.

Then I realize who it is. LEO'S MUM. Of course! How could I be so stupid?
"Oh, Chloe! What are you doing here?" She asks when she sees me.
"I'm uhm... I was hanging out with Leo... But he went to Beca's house and told me to stay here..." I explain as I follow her into the kitchen.

"Oh... Did he say when he would get home?" His mum asks and looks at me while she puts in some stuff in the fridge.
"No... He has been there the whole day." I reply and Victoria turns around to me.

"That boy." She sighs and rolls her eyes. We stand there for a while, I think she's thinking of something. And then she suddenly looks up at me again. "I heard that you and Charlie haven't talked for a long time... Is there anything happening between you two...?"

Shiiiiiit. I'm pessimistic about talking about that with Victoria, but when I think about it... It seems to be a pretty good idea, maybe she can help me...?
I take a deep breath and look up at her. I feel a lump in my throat by the thought of Charlie, but I try to hold back the tears.

"Well... There's something going on and... Can I talk with you about it...?" I start insecure and look down at the floor again. I don't really know what to say.
"Of course, hun. You can tell me anything." Victoria smiles. "Come."

She walks over to the couch and sit down. I follow her and sit down beside her.
