Chapter Three

Kaylee's POV
"Get lost Kaylee!" Harvey snaps at me.
I roll my eyes. "I live here, remember??"
He groans. "No one wants you here!"
"You think I actually want to be here?? Hell no!" I exclaim.
"Then get your ugly face out of my room!!" He yells.
"Sara wants you!" I yell back.
"Why??" He crosses his arms.
"How am I supposed to know??" I say in frustration. He is so annoying!
"Fine whatever, just get lost! It'll be a big favour to everyone." He mutters.
I roll my eyes for the tenth time and walk out of his room. I go downstairs and slip on my shoes. I want to visit my mom's graveyard. I haven't gone there for a long time because we had to move here.🙄
"I'm going outside!" I yell.
"Where?" Sara asks.
"The next block." I answer.
She raises her eyebrow. "Why?"
I badly wanted to yell 'none of your business' but I knew dad would be mad at me.
"Just meeting a friend." I shrug.
"Who??"
What's up with all the questions??
"Why do you care??" I snap.
"Because I'm your mother!!" She yells.
That's it.
"NO YOU'RE NOT!! AND NEVER WILL BE! I HATE YOU!" I yell at her.
"I hate you more!!" She huffs.
"Then stop talking to me!" I say.
"I will! Just GET LOST!!" She screams.
"Fine!! I WILL!" I yell and walk out of the house, slamming the door behind me.
What's her problem?
I fast walk to the graveyard and surprisingly reach there in five minutes.
*skip skip skip cuz I'm too lazy she just cries over there and stuff now she's back home* *Sara and her are fine now just awkward*
"Kaylee!" Harvey yells.
"What??" I yell back from my room.
"Get your ass down here!" Harvey yells.
"Dinners ready!" Max yells.
I sigh and walk downstairs. I sit down at the table next to Tilly and Sheep Boy. Uh Leo. Yeah. That's his name. I keep forgetting.
"So, are you guys best friends?" My dad asks, looking at me, Max and Harvey.
I almost choke. Max, Harvey and I best friends? Not happening.
I shake my head.
"Don't you go the same school?" He frowns.
Duh yeah. So what?
"Yeah we do. So?" Max shrugs.
"We hate Kaylee like anything." Harvey says grumpily. He's been really grumpy ever since we kissed. We pretend it never happened.
"Wait. So you don't like each other? You're not even friends?" Sara looks confused.
Me liking Max and Harvey? Never in a billion years.
Friends? Hell no.
*skip to school next day*
"Hey Kaylee!" My BFF Nicki ( nickimills18 ) says. (Ruby is also her BFF but she's in a different school)
"Hey." I reply.
"What's up?" She asks.
"I moved in with Max and Harvey." I groan.
"What?? Why?" She exclaims.
"Their mother is gonna probably marry my dad." I glare.
Nicki shakes her head. "That's not good."
"Of course not." I frown.
*skip to lunch in the cafeteria*
I was sitting on a table alone waiting for Nicki and the rest to come. Max and Harvey's group pass us.
"Oh look! It's the nerd!" One of Max's friend says, waving at me.
I roll my eyes. They're all jerks.
"Hi loser." Max smirks at me.
"Hi jerk." I smirk back at him
"What is someone as ugly are you doing here?" He raises his eyebrow.
"Eating? Duh!" I say.
"You're already too fat." Max makes a face.
"You look like a pig. You're so ugly!" Harvey says in disgust.
"Harvey you're so stupid! I'm not a mirror." I shot back.
Harvey glares at me. "What's up with your hair??"
"Ever heard of a bun?" I say sarcastically.
"Yeah."
"Oh finally! You know something, at last." I say.
"You're so annoying." Harvey says.
"You're such a jerk." I say.
"I see why your mom left you." Harvey replies.
My eyes widen. "W-What?"
"I said I finally understand why your mom wanted to leave you." Harvey smirks.
"She didn't want to leave me." My voice cracks.
"Yeah right. No one likes you! Why haven't you gotten lost already?" Max sticks his tongue out.
"I hate you." I whisper. A tear falls down my cheek.
"You're such a-" Harvey starts saying but then stops when he sees my tears.
"Kaylee?" Max says softly.
"What?" I snap, trying to hide my tears.
"We didn't mea-" Max begins to say but one of his friends pours their milkshake over me. Lexi.
"Get lost loser!" Lexi glares.
"No one gives a damn about you." Lexi smirks.
I stand up and run to the office.
"Hi um can I go home?" I say, trying to hold back tears.
"What happened??" The attendance lady asks looking concerned.
"Um a accident. And I uh um I'm sick." I make a random excuse. She hands me a leave note and I go home.
I enter and dump my bag on the floor.
"Kaylee?" Sara frowns when she sees me.
"Who else?" I roll my eyes.
"What happened to you?" Sara widens his eyes.
"Max, Harvey and their stupid fri-" I say then stop myself.
I almost told her! I can't tell!
"Max and Harvey did this to you?!!" Sara exclaims.
"Uh no." I lie.
"I know you're lying. They did. What else happened?" Sara raises her eyebrow.
"They said something about my m-mum." I start crying.
Sara puts her arm around me.
"Boy are they in trouble." She glares.
Maybe she's not that bad.
I go up to my room and change. I sit on the bed and listen to music. The doorbell rings. They're here. Max and Harvey. Great.
I had yelling from downstairs and I turn my volume up.
I can hear stuff like 'You know she's sensitive about her mom!' And 'what else have you done to her' 'and we hate her she's as useless as shit'
After a few minutes someone knocks on my door. It's Max.
He glares at me and sits next to me.
"What?" I snap.
"I'm sorry." He blurts out. He obviously doesn't mean it because he's glaring at me with a look which says 'I'm forced to do this'.
"Whatever." I huff.
He apologises again and leaves.
Harvey comes in. He says the same thing as Max but he does something different. He...

Without realising I kiss back. Then I remember that it's Harvey.
I push him away.
"What the hell Harvey?" I glare at him.
He groans and walks out of my room, slamming the door behind him.
Why did he kiss me??
Why did I kiss back??
And why did I feel sparks? Again?!
Ugh!
I hate him! He bullies me! He's my stepbrother! Almost!
My phone dings.
Max The Devil👿🙄: you sneaked
Harvey The Devil😬🚫: you better not tell anything else
Max The Devil👿🙄: or you're dead
Harvey The Devil😬🚫: btw u might want to check your locker tomorrow😈
Max The Devil😬🚫: don't sneak or else
Harvey The Devil😬🙄: and meet me in lunch. Alone.😈😂
Kay🙈: Whatever losers.
Max The Devil😈🙄: what did you call us?!!
Kay🙈: losers
Max The Devil😈🙄: don't u dare or u know what
Kay🙈:whatever like I care

I'm kind of scared. Max can be really scary and mean.
