Prologue
Imagine a world where every monster you've ever heard of lives. Werewolves, vampires, zombies, witches, even the witch's black cats live here. Now imagine this world has two kingdoms divided by an uncrossible river raged in war. How, you might ask? It's simple one word really; assasins. You see the human world still exists, and assasins travel through it to get to the other kingdom. Of course, only one kingdom can be winning; that kingdom is the dark. Their assasins always come back, and are rarely injured. Where as in the light, their assasins rarely come back and are always injured. Except for me. My name is Maison Eloquis. I am the only assasin from the light to ever make it back uninjured from the dark which might be because I'm a cat (actually I look like a human with a tail). You'd think that would get me some big medal and honor right? Nope. The only one who knows about my accomplishment is the queen of the light realm who, according to the king, is not "mentally sane," when really she is the one running the kingdom. The dark is a horrible place, filled with poverty, rape, and racism. I would know. I've been there. Right now I am on my way back from a routine assassination and...
"Dear me, what is he doing here?" I said when I saw him. unfortunately my outburst caught his attention. So I ducked behind a wall to avoid being seen by the crown prince of the dark, who was standing right in front of the portal into the light.
