Can you hear my heartbeat?
Tired of feeling never enough
I close my eyes and tell myself that my dreams will come true

Yuuri let out a soft breath, the air curling in a gentle cloud in front of him as he landed a simple double axel. He closed his eyes, letting the music carry him through the program Viktor had created for him for this song.

After he won silver a couple months back, Viktor made him a program to the song, just for fun. Yuuri loved the song, so he decided to make him a program to practice his jumps with whenever he was bored, as a reward for getting silver at the Grand Prix Final. Jump forward a few months, it was now April. Viktor would be coming back for the next season as both Yuuri's coach and competitor.

Viktor had stayed in Russia for a while to visit his family and work with his own coach for a while to discuss plans for the next season, while Yuuri returned to Japan to see his family. They had welcomed him back enthusiastically, everyone gathered at the hot springs to congratulate him on his success. He hung his medal in his room, after having it passed around among all of his family and friends of course.

He missed Viktor. He had grown very attached to his fiancé, having rarely spent time without him during and even before the last season. He wanted to see him again, as he hadn't gotten to in a couple months, not face-to-face, anyway. Of course they had called and messaged each other, and they had face-timed a couple times as well, but it just wasn't the same.

He was glad for the rings, though. It made him feel like he had a piece of Viktor with him at all times. Any time he got anxious or sad, he would think about the ring on his finger, look at it, kiss it. It wasn't the same as having Viktor there with him, but it helped. He often wondered if Viktor wore his ring all the time while he was in Russia, but he didn't want to ask. He huffed gently again as he continued with the program, just doing simpler jumps for the moment. He was really just warming up at the moment; he would practice some harder jumps later. He wondered when Viktor would come back to Japan.

Viktor smiled quietly as he leaned against the wall, watching his fiancé glide effortlessly along the ice. He wanted to surprise Yuuri with a visit back to Japan to see him. He hadn't told Yuuri he was coming to visit, and was excited to make a rather boisterous appearance, but when he walked into the rink and saw how beautifully peaceful he looked on the ice, he forgot about his obnoxious plan. Makkachin sat quietly beside him before hopping up on the wall next to him, tail wagging happily and panting. Viktor let out a soft chuckle and caressed his soft head as he continued to watch Yuuri warm up. He hadn't yet noticed Viktor watching him, and Viktor was going to keep it that way for as long as he could.

He sighed dreamily, convinced he had the most beautiful fiancé in the world. He smiled a bit before backing up and sitting down on a bench. He took off his shoes and tied up his skates quickly before quietly skating onto the ice. He circled around Yuuri for a second, waiting for him to finish a jump and slow down before skating up behind him. He wrapped his hands around Yuuri's waist, and Yuuri jumped and let out a loud yelp. He whipped around before freezing in shock. Viktor smiled that mischievous smile of his, holding Yuuri tightly.

"Hi Yuuri, your skating has been going well I see." He grinned. Yuuri broke out into a grin as well, tears welling up in his eyes as he wrapped his arms around Viktor's neck quickly and tightly, snuggling his face into the crook of his neck.

"Viktor, when did you get here! How long have you been watching me?" He giggled through happy sobs. Viktor smiled, nuzzling Yuuri's neck gently.

"I got here this morning, I got all my stuff to the hot spring after you'd already left. I've only been watching for a minute." He explained. Yuuri pulled back to get a good look at Viktor's face. Yep, he thought, beautiful as ever.
