Prologue

Shinra Kusakabe wasn't exactly what you would call a ladies man, that was more of Arthur's thing, he was awkward, and considered creepy by his peers. He wasn't exactly a popular guy, so why in the world did this girl keep coming back to him to 'talk' about her problems. Her name was Y/N L/N, also known as 'monster girl', or just plain 'monster', at first it didn't exactly occur to him as to why she was given such a horrid nickname, much less insult, although, it didn't take long for him to see the reason that she was regarded as a horrifying, brutish person. Rewinding  back to the days of primary school, he was always bullied by his fellow classmates, whereas she was his bodyguard, always beating up the bullies, earning her status as the monster of the school. this cycle of vouching for him, and protecting him, went on all the way to college, where they both enrolled in a college in Death City, Nevada, where they joined the roster with the likes of people such as Soul Evans and Maka Albarn. Fast forwarding back to present day, he was so confused, why did this girl even like him? He felt he didn't deserve this, but he still appreciated her company, anyway.
