Yuugi POV

I look at my friends Joey and Honda who fought for me. "If only...if I..." I felt something cold and sharp in my hand. I was shocked opening my palm. "This..." The last piece tho the millennium puzzle, but how? My eyes follow to the golden puzzle in front of me. Placing the final piece into the empty area. It starts to glow shining a straight beam of light to my forehead. Falling into my own mind as something more sinister comes out.

Yami POV

Opening my eyes to a dark alley; I have been awaken after 5,000 years, thank you. "So it's game time?" Giving the illusion of a rooftop it's time to begin the game. Ushio at the bottom of the roof held by a rope.

"What are you?" I love watching people scared for their life. The puzzle glows once again revealing me to Ushio. "Bastard, Yuugi!" I grin at him,

"Yo Ushio." I pause and lean against the pole of the roof looking down at Ushio and continue, "I've got what you want right here." He was shocked but pleased, 

"What! You got the money? So you brought, then I wouldn't have needed to put you through that. So hurry and hand it over." I laugh at his command,

"How boring just handing it over." His face grows surprised,

'What!" he says

"How about it? Have a little game with me," crossing my arms over one another.

"Game?" he says confused.

"But it's no ordinary game...It's a Yami game." I say pulling out a deck of cards and shuffle them.

"Ha, interesting." he continues, "I, Ushio, have never lost at any game, I accept." He grins at me still holding himself up on the rope.

"Impressive Ushio, here we go." I fall down to Ushio's level having a rope around me as well as a straight line of cards going down. "The rules are simple, flip over these cards, person goes up by the value on the card... the other goes down. The person who makes it to the top wins the prize." He responds almost automatically.

"Alright, I got it! Then I'll start!" he picks up a card beside him, "10 of diamonds! Well, Yuugi, better prepare yourself." I grin to myself,

"I got a ten." going up and he goes down.

"What! 2 of spades, I'm catching up." That wont last,

"We can't have that now... Queen of spades."

"3 of diamonds!"

"9 of hearts."

"6 of clubs!"

"Jack of spades." Back and forth one card after another, "What's the matter Ushio? Nothing left? I'm one step away from the top." He doesn't have a chance against me.

"Shut up! The next card I pick will turn this around!" He shakes grabbing for another card, "J-joker..." I thought so, looks like I'll be winning.

"Too bad Ushio, joker is a miss. My turn." I grab for a card I could reach.

"What! Don't screw with me! You fixed this from the beginning!" He's such a swore loser,

"Ace of diamonds; victory is mine." He clenches his jaw,

"Shut up!" He starts to pull himself up the rope, I expected as much.

"Breaking the rules? If you do that you'll face something terrible." He quickly pulls himself up attempting to hit me.

"Quiet!" But sadly he's mistaken I'm to fast for him; he can't touch me.

"I knew you couldn't obey the rules." He then breaks the rope connecting me to him.

"Fall! HAHAHA! I did it!" He grabs the pouch and opens it. "What is this? It's not money!" You shall be punished,

"The door of darkness has been opened." The tip of the roof breaks,

"What!" He falls down towards the river passing me on the way.

"The Yami game shows a person's true character. You will be swallowed in your own greed." They should learn, and then it wouldn't have to come to this.

"What!-It's alright, I'll just get wet." I wouldn't be so sure. Three eyeless wormed creatures pop out the water eating him whole.

Yuugi POV

"Ha ah, my treasure." I look at the millennium puzzle happy I can prove my grandpa wrong.

"Yo Yuugi." It's Joey in the middle of two locker.

"Joey, Good Morning!" I smile to him and he smiles back,

"I'm following your example, I brought my treasure today, want to see?" I felt happy and excited as I nod, "Hehe to bad, my treasure... you can see it but you cannot so I can't show it to you!" I'm puzzled, what could it be?

"You can see it but you can't?" I'm puzzled.

"It's friendship."

"What?"

"We can see it in each other, but can't see courage itself right?" Joey you really have changed, I start to tear up,

"Yeah!" 

"Why am I spouting all these lousy lines today...So, class is starting!" Oh Joey so shy about his emotions, huh?"

"Joey you dropped your shoes!"

Yami POV-(Soul Room)

He is my Aibou. Joey watch yourself, I care not for you.
